Out of stock online, in-store pick up only.

That's a good price though. I'm tempted to pick up another for the kids' room

I don't think people realize that you can take the 160gb system and upgrade it to a 500gb system for about $50

Any laptop SATA drive will work. They charge outrageous amounts for storage on stuff these days.

Anyone know where this is available? No stock within 50 miles of me. I've checked other metropolitan areas where I have friends too. Nothing.

Great deal but no stock within 50 miles of me either.

The online deal went dead before this was posted and most stores do not carry this; this deal is dead basicly

yeah. I bought an 80 gig a while ago. swapped it out with my ollllllld laptop's 500gb hard drive. so now i have a 500 gig PS3 and 80gb laptop......errrr netbook i guess now lol. Only did it because it was old......windows 97

Really Windows 97? Never heard of it :)

Walmart & Sears will price match.

Just so you know, on the newer model PS3's, it is not as easy to replace the hard drive as it is in the original. I believe you now need to take the entire shell of the system off if you wanted to do that.

(I own the new one)

Good deal. I paid this for my 150gb slim model at costco about 1.5 years ago. Since the ps3 price drop, I really don't understand why anyone buys an xbox these days unless they're just uninformed.

@lskennedy: no. its actually just as easy. you just aren't smart enough to figure it out.

@irongobbo: That's really funny considering Windows 97 didn't exist and neither did SATA drives around that time :p

i dont think technology was even close to having 500 gig hardrives during windows "97"

@mrc131: I prefer the lineup on the 360 over most of what's available on the PS3. I feel like I have all the PS3 games I want at half a dozen. In comparison, I've got about 5x that many xbox games. And frankly, I'm not so hot on Sony since April and May (easy guess why).

Then again, there's no accounting for taste, and the system's a good deal. I'd vote for it, if it weren't dead before I got here.

I have seen these lower. I would pass on this.
