No, it's not the "latest and greatest" but people seem to like it. 4.2 out of 5 stars at the mothership.

Plus, if you're not interested in the Dell gift card, you can get it shipped to your house with someone to set it up for you for $379.

Checking the manual, it does state that 1024x768 is the display resolution which would seem to be a 4:3 format.
However, in another part of the manual it states this:
Screen Fit: Displays the full image without any cut-off when your TV is inputting HDMI (720p / 1080i / 1080p) or Component (1080i / 1080p) HD signals.
✎HD (High Definition) has a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1080i/1080p (1920x1080) or 720p (1280x720) resolution.

@cleverett:

I own this TV - it has a beautiful image - you will not find a better plasma in this price range. Look up customer ratings online.

Not only is this set only 720p, but it uses the "wide pixels" that the very lowest-quality plasmas sets do...it's a pseudo-HD 1024x768 rather than the normal 720p plasma resolution of 1366x768.
