World War II feels like ancient history because much of our contemporary media experience of it is through grainy video programs. That really shouldn't be as motion picture film natively surpasses hi-def video in resolution, and black-and-white AND color film was used extensively by the government to document this era.

So the concept of this documentary is to tell the story of WWII using hi-definition moving images from the time (some of which has not been seen before), making these historical events seem as real as today. This series consists of ten 45-minute episodes. This new Collector's Edition adds two new bonus episodes, making this incredible box-set over ten hours long!
