Turtle Beach EarForce XLC Gaming Headset for Xbox 360 for $11
This is the Turtle Beach EarForce XLC Gaming Headset for Xbox 360 model TBS-2049. This stereo sound headset combines high-quality stereo game audio with Xbox Live chat, eliminating the hassle of a mono communicator and external speakers. Noise reduction ear cushions block out ambient noise around you, letting you enter your game and enjoy the full impact of stereo sound from your Xbox 360. Say goodbye to annoying game sounds usually picked up by chat mics, and experience the freedom of a lightweight design and easy-to-use in-line volume control. Feel like you are part of the game with this headset that plays both the game audio and online chat through a single set of high-fidelity headphones.
I used to have an awesome Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card. I didn't even know the company was still aroung, but apparently they are - and as part of another [long lost] company Voyetra. Dang! The memories of building my own PC's back in the early 90's come flooding back.
the X11 is the most basic headset that they offer for the 360, while at 11 + 6.50 s&h it's half price what turtle beach offers and it gets the job done. Personally, i don't like the style of headphones that they are, i prefer a complete over the ear or in the ear, but not just laying on top of the ears. its a great headset though and if your just looking for something basic but more powerful than the one microsoft offers, you can't go wrong.
