a quick google search turned up an ebay post that said it is a 5400 RPM drive, basically what you would expect.

according to an amazon customer "The drive in my enclosure is a Seagate ST2000DM001 (part# 9YN164), which is a member of the Barracuda 7200.14 series: SATA 6Gb/s, 64MB cache, 4KB sectors (Advanced Format technology). If you'd rather not have to crack open and throw the enclosure away, I found the bare drive here for $101.80 shipped. Advantage? At least you KNOW you're getting a 7200rpm drive this way (according to the website's specs, anyway).
