I AM a coffee snob and have been for over 3 decades. I dumped my french presses for this: http://www.aeropress.com
I have used these for several years now and have NEVER had a coffee ground in the coffee. Unbreakable and excellent for camping as well. Makes up to 4 cups per press. Also available @ BB&B.

@zippy the pinhead: Looks interesting! I am not a coffee snob of the Starbuck's variety, but admit that I bring my own coffee with me when I travel. (Community New Orleans Blend -- Dark with Chicory). I have a small Black & Decker Brew & Go pot that I've had for nearly 20 years and it travels with me. I'm not a K-cup person, and I got this pot for work waaaaay before anyone had even HEARD of Keurig.

I've only had French Press coffee a few times and thought it was pretty darn good. For $10 this seemed like a good time to give it a try at home. Although, since it's a glass pot, it won't be traveling with me. The Aeropress looks like a great, although more expensive, solution to that problem. It might be next on my list of things to try, Thanks for the link!
