Showtime Pro w/15 Piece Accessory for $89.99 + $5.00 shipping
I can’t make it to practice tonight, guys. There’s something I watch on Thursdays.
Set it and forget it, dammit!!!
is this a typewriter?
These are by far one of the best rotisseries on the market. Once you roast a chicken on this you will never roast one any other way again.. Seriously.
link to it on Amazon - http://amzn.to/Hf1VcS . Pretty nice reviews but the price will be different as amazon does not have the accessories.
I love mine. It makes great chicken, juicy steaks, and all around good stuff. Get 3.
@djenkins1982: I bought one a couple of months ago and am surprised how much I really do like it... but i had no idea you could make steaks... I know what I'll be doing this weekend.
I like these. I may buy one, my dad has one and he cooks on it all the time. "Just set it and forget it!!!"
I love watching this infomercial...but to be honest I would spend a few bucks more and buy a decent outdoor grill for the money.
Dang, and I just bought the Cinemax Pro.
I've had one for years... bought it at "Tuesday Morning" for $99 (when they typically sold for $250) and it did not come with a lot of the accessories this package includes.
I absolutely love this thing.
I've cooked a chickens in it.
I've also cooked a 20#+ turkey in it twice and they came out amazing!
(Keep in mind this is the HUGE model)
If you shop around, you can get a 10# pork loin for under $2/lb, cut it in half (as a 10# loin is about 8" too long for this) and cook 'em one at a time. Fantastic meals for the week and can't beat the price.
On cleanup... line the bottom tray (under the grate!) with foil and all you have to wash are the skewers, ends, and grating.
The gloves this comes with are really thick and really protect your hands.
The only drawback is it heats up the kitchen bigtime. I use mine in the screened-in patio.
I'm thinking about getting this one and selling my old one on craigslist for the same price. Mine doesn't have the heat shield or kabab-skewers, etc.
Oh... and before anyone asks "why not just get a 5# loin?"... 2 reasons:
1. a 5# loin typically doesn't sell for under $2/lb (usually >$4/lb).
2. The skewers are mounted too far apart for anything smaller... thinner loins would simply not be able to touch both unless you mounted then perpendicularly.
I suppose you could consider #2 the 2nd drawback (referencing my original post, above).
Between this and that 6 quart slow cooker and the Ninja (which is awesome) they had, Woot is quickly replacing the need for conventional appliances in my kitchen.
In for 1!
wow I bought this on the 22nd of March during a woot off and I paid 94.99 + 5 shipping. I think woot should give me a refund of the difference!!
Odered last time around. Was missing several parts. Months later Ronko still has not sent them. Say back ordered even after 6 months. I would pass.
This is a must have. Every time I get the urge to buy one I go to Costco and get one of their rotisserie chickens. They even clean the rotisserie for me. Now if Ron Popeil was one of the accessories and would clean mine, I'd spring for it. I've heard you can even cook a woot monkey on it.
I just cooked a chicken last night on mine. I bought mine a little before Christmas and used for christmas dinner. The family it was the best chicken they have ever had (no ham for us, wife doesn't care for it). I want to cook ribs on this next. We haven't ventured away from cooking chicken on here, but we did pick-up some thick cut pork chops that I want to try.
Nothing like waking up and having a good Woot. I do it every morning. Today was a larger than usual Woot, but now that I've Wooted, I feel so much better. Today's Woot made me REALLY hungry for some reason - can't wait for this rotisserie to get here!!!
Kidding aside, my co-workers are UBER-excited about me getting this, because they will ALL reap the benefits of me trying it out - 2nd floor office lunch COMING UUUUPPPPP.......
Bought my daughter and her husband a smaller model and boy, do they LOVE it! I first saw this at a friend's house. She had it outside next to her BBQ and had a pork roast cooking and it smelled SO good! W/ the great raves I heard? I just HAD to WOOT! Cannot WAIT until it gets here! At this price w/ all the accessories? You can't beat it with a stick, dudes!
but can it make toast?
@glabifrons: Very good review and I heartily concur. I own two of them.
I usually use the baskets to roast chicken quarter pieces. Trim off most of the fat and skin and sprinkle "lemon-pepper" and garlic seasoning. One basket for me is 75-80 minutes. (I like it a little more crispy). I'm chomping down on a leg before I even empty the basket.
Cook outside if possible or you will be getting up at night to check the fridge for leftovers due to the residual aroma still in the house. All the neighbors will walk by and wonder where that wonderful aroma is coming from.
Only drawback that I've experienced is that the bottom plastic rails break and separate due to the heat. They may have fixed that by now.
I bought one of these from Woot a few months ago and it.is.awesome. Once you have fresh rotisserie at home, you will never buy from the store again. Worth every cent.
how much Power does this consume. I have already burnt out some of my power points in my house.!.
For those of you who already have this setup, I won these
in a Bag of Crap. What exactly are they used for?
My guess is holding a stuffed bird together or something of that sort.
Also, if anyone needs them I'll happily send them your way.
edit* quick research says they are the hooks that hold the Ribs on the rib basket! yummy.
I want one of these so bad!!! doesn't someone just want to order an extra and have it shipped to me?
I bought this the last time it was on Sellout around the end of January to replace my standard size showtime that I have had for about 10 years.
Delivery
The Accessory basket showed up first and it took 2 extra weeks for the main unit to show up. For the size of the unit the shipping box is very flimzy and mine was all banged up and the front panel doesn't sit so well. The bottom of the Steamer also never showed.
The Unit itself
Its huge! Also compared to my 10 year old unit you can tell the quality is not what it once was, the metal for the housing is obviously thinner. The coating on the drip pan and rods began peeling after the first cleaning. It took almost a year of service for this to happen with the old one.
Cooking
For big stuff it works great, I've done racks of ribs several chickens and a big turkey breast. For smaller stuff it is not as efficient as my older unit, so for me this is not a total replacement I was hoping for but a great cooker when I have the gang over.
What, no free Ginzu steak knives included? Thought those came with every Ronco product.
@superninja: Yes but do you get the solid food injector?
Great tivo. Set it and forget it.
Have this and love it! Chicken is the best. Ribs are perfection in it, just wait till the last 5 minutes to put the BBQ sauce on them so that it doesn't burn. They turn out juicy and fall right off the bone.
Set it and forget it! We have had the deluxe model for years, and use it at least once a week. Great price and will make a great upgrade to our growing family.
If you already have this model ("Pro"/6000 series) and need the accessory kit, woot is selling 'em through Amazon for only $19.99 shipped!

Mine arrived today looking like someone took a hammer to it :( Not happy. Guess I have to email CS.
@madpoet: Sorry to hear that. Let us know when the accessory pack gets there and we'll take care of the return.
Man I have been waiting on this for a while and it shows up with shattered glass all over the box. Fail! who do I contact to have replaced?
I received this item damaged. Is there a phone number that I can call to talk to someone about this?
Main RONCO box with the Pro inside was damaged, (BIG hole on the side) but the Pro seems to work ok. BUT, I seem to be missing the "spit rod spacer/tool" piece. Anybody know how I can get one?
@redjuan4: I don't think there is spacer tool. you put them into the holes with the wide end to the right so it can turn on the gear.
@denniswkam: Mine came damaged. I would like a replacement but they said they are out of stock. S o I have to return it. How often do they have these on sale?
@patruss: We're not really sure when/if we'll offer this again, but make sure to keep checking back. Especially during Woot-Offs.
@denniswkam: Thanks
I love this huge, fugly, beastly monster of a rotisserie. Ron Popiel was a friggin genius and will be missed.
First thing I made in this was a fantastic bone-in Rib roast. Fantastic "prime rib" style meal. I haven't even used the accessories yet.
My wife hates the lost counter space and yet one more device sitting around.
@sjminkoff: "Ron Popiel was a friggin genius and will be missed."
Can you wait until he's dead before writing his obituary?
