Just signed up, not sure if it is legit though. Feels very spamy.

I've gotten subscriptions through there before and they are very legit. Its a great deal.

People should keep in mind that nothing is free. You'll be selling your personal information to this company in return for the magazine. Expect an increase in junk mail.

vote-for4vote-against

Eh, why not? I used an e-mail address that I use for SPAM anyway.

vote-for1vote-against

@gregorylikescheapstu: Yuppers. It jumped my spam volume noticeably when I did one of their offers a few months ago.

vote-for3vote-against

Wow! That didn't take long.
Two minutes to get on their spam list, but they want 10 business days to take you off of it. LOL

vote-for0vote-against

Cool I just did it too :)

vote-for1vote-against

@killjoy: Hopefully they aren't as quick with junk mail to your home address as they are to an email box.

vote-for1vote-against

Cool I didn't have to provide a phone number. I hate crap calls.

I signed up, but was a bit put off by their nosiness asking for my job title and employer name. And more so that there is a field for that information in your mailing address. So I gave my home address, because I would probably be fired for getting Maxim at work.

I suspect that my subscription will be rejected because of my home address, but much less that I am convinced that it will not reject the snailspam I will get at that address, nor that at my email address.

vote-for1vote-against

I'm giving it a try with a spam email. I hope this legit.

Thank you for this!

I usually change my name or address just a tad for deals like this. Like I might change my middle initial, or add a letter to my name at the end. It allows me to track how my name and address are being sold.

vote-for1vote-against

Use a spam email, that way you'll never notice the extra ads.

vote-for1vote-against

Just put a fake email, it doesn't seem to require clicking a link or anything.

vote-for3vote-against

@arilvdc: Instead of spam email, you might want to consider something like http://www.mailinator.com/ where you can check out the responses.

vote-for1vote-against

Works like a charm.. I have received several magazines from there..

@deadmongoose: I think we have the same phone number: 555-555-5555 just like in the movies. If they don't want to give me something for 'Free' because of a bad phone number, oh well.

vote-for1vote-against

I already subscribe and get too much junk mail. Plus, it's likely that my present subscription would preclude my 'free' subscription. Still, though...

vote-for1vote-against

Skeptical, but I'll give it a shot too...

vote-for2vote-against

how long is the subscription for? one year?

vote-for1vote-against

@geeker It said the subscription was for 3 months when I tried it.

vote-for1vote-against

Tried it against my better judgment. My subscription ends mid-2010, anyway. Hopefully the (snail and e-) spam won't overtake me.

vote-for1vote-against

Gave it a shot for the boyfriend.

Def use a spam email account and think of a fun company name and industry!

vote-for1vote-against

I've done similar deals, but never with job title and company name, they usully extend your subscription if you already have one. And don't forget to be creative. I am CEO of Hill's Organized Crime.

vote-for1vote-against

looks like this is dead. i answered all their questions and then i could choose up to 3 magazines from a list but maxim was grayed out.

vote-for1vote-against

IT FINALLY CAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCORE!!!!!! I GOT TWO DIFFERENT ISSUES TODAY. THANK YOU DEALS.WOOT. If all my deals end up worthless and a waste of time, this one has made it all worth it.
