I find the name of this item somewhat... inaccurate.

It's a metal detector. The things it is detecting are buried, and immobile. Therefore, it needs to be neither 'fast' nor 'track' its quarry, but rather simply find them.

'Deep-Seeker' might be a better name.

Yes, it's an insanely good deal. If you look around it's about $90 elsewhere. (Ex: $90 at J&R http://www.jr.com/bounty-hunter/pe/BHR_FAST/) Let's just hope we don't all get the lip gloss or cosmetics that some of the Amazon reviewers said they were sent instead of the metal detector!

@alexmg2420: Yea… saw the same thing and was a bit hesitant. I noticed they were all from the same timeframe (April 2009), so it may have been a temporary mix-up. At $11.98 per item (shipped), it is worth a try.

Gohastings has been shipping stuff Ilooking at there recent amazon orders) but mostly dvd's books etc. I couldn't find this item on there main website.

B/c if this price is for reals, I'm buying 20! The resale profit would be glorious.

@marlaktr: IF you don't like giving credit card online...you have come to the wrong place. Most Wooters give out their CC number online 4-10 times a day. We are online hoarders. Woot is to us, what QVC was to our grandparents.

Ordered one not long after this deal was posted. Checked my email just now, order was cancelled. I thought it seemed too good to be true. Oh well.

and I just clicked on the link and it says to be signed up to be notified when this item becomes available. I guess I got lucky.

I originally ordered 3 but went back in and ordered 500 to resell em when I realized just how good a deal this was.

They are scamming hard. I ordered one and got an email thanking me for a lip gloss order. I raised an immediate fuss and asked for them to cancel that crap. Quicker than you can say failboat they had the order out of the system so someone screwed the pooch on this and then they tried to send us makeup.

Got an email for my lip shimmer....used Amazon to send a message to the seller. Got an email back from the seller saying it may take them awhile to email me back..but I could call.

I called, gave them my order number...she said that they don't even carry the metal detector and it was an unfortunate mistake. She apologized and canceled my order.

I am waiting to see if it was actually canceled...however, everyone waiting for a metal detector is just going to have shiny lips to show for it.
