I have had one of these carts for about 1.5 years now. It is WAY cheaper than similar carts made by other companies, and works GREAT! The drawers slide easily, casters roll easily, and when you close the lid, it locks the drawers shut, which is nice. It is a great buy!

This cart is really very nice. Its as heavy duty as many of the competitors, so if you're not a name brand junkie this will do exactly what you need it to and will last years.

If you look in the back of any auto magazine or even home improvement magazines you fan find the 99.99 coupon all of the time. Just verified, its in this month's The Family Handyman magazine.

Unfortunately for me, the $96 S&H kills the deal...

I knew it'd be on the higher end, but nearly doubling the purchase price makes me have to pass.

can we use the same coupon in the store?

Says top has to be open for drawers to open.

There is a coupon that just came out that brings this down to $99.00
I would not buy without that.

Why do people post Harbor Freight sales as good deals when they are regular "sales"? This thing is always available for around $100 by coupon published in hundreds of magazines across the country and in the store sale flyers... no deal here, regular price. IT may very well be a good product for a good price, but it's nothing special for a deal just like 99% of the other Harbor deals posted. IF it's the same quality as the bigger one, it's a good enough box for the money, just don't expect it to handle professional duty use... it won't. Drawer slides are not ball bearing and will fail with constant use or heavy loads just like all home quality tool boxes.

I have this model, it does in fact have ball bearing slides. Well worth it for home use.

@rroberto: Not certain what the problem is, but it is on sale. And it does have ball bearing slides.

@cesg: If you click on the Harbor Freight Tools logo in the upper right while on the page, it brings up the site's homepage with printable coupons on the page. The one for the toolbox is included.

I agree with the earlier comments, the ball-bearing slides will hold a lot of weight and still work smoothly. Magnetic latch can be a little iffy if you move it around a lot. Very strong frame, good sturdy wheels, heavy lid that locks. I like it a lot, got it for $99 a while back and would probably buy another at that price.

I work at a dealership, and we have a guy that works for us with this exact same cart, but his has a name brand on it and costs 6 times as much as the one from Harbor Freight.

@mtm2: It's ALWAYS on sale is my point. 99% of harbor freights sale items are always on continuously for 6 months at a time or longer. My ol man has the bigger one of these - it's not bad but it's not as big sale as everyone here seems to think.

Harbor Freight sales a lot of Crap, and A some good things. This cart is on the list of Good items. I have 2 of them in my garage and they are very nice and handy. I've even purchased 2 others for 2 other friends of mine.

Just make sure you follow the directions on putting it together. It's very easy to put the wrong piece on the wrong side and have to take it apart again to fix it :)
