heck ya in for 1! what a wonderful christmas gift that looks like it cost oh so much more... :D

vote-for1vote-against

In for two! One for a gift and one for me. I really hope this sticks!

vote-for1vote-against

I am in for 1 hope it goes through

vote-for1vote-against

@mttakah: Actually, the original posting showed no picture. I think a mod added a picture later that turned out to be the one from the Extended Edition.

what the heck, picked up one through paypal.

I spent more than $10 giving to homeless change boxes in retail stores this week, I think I can afford to give myself some charity now and again. I hope this is legit though!

vote-for0vote-against

They just killed my order - pricing error.

vote-for1vote-against

@meyerci: Nevermind - the cancellation was because of a typo in my billing information

vote-for-10vote-against

This is obviously a pricing error. The individual films on Blu-ray are going for $10 each. The previous trilogy pack is going for upwards of $50. Your orders are going to be cancelled.

vote-for1vote-against

Placed my order. We'll see what happens

vote-for3vote-against

@luke727: the equivalent DVD set (All three theatrical cuts) was $12.99 when I was at a physical Wal-Mart 2 days ago so the pricing is not that outrageous.

vote-for-3vote-against

Anyone know whether Walmart can legally cancel these orders if there is an error? My basic understanding of the law is that they have to honor the agreement. They stated that it is the trilogy blu-ray set and have accepted my money. Any mistake on their part is irrelevant to the legal transaction we have entered into, right?

vote-for1vote-against

@lauransteve: Nope--they have every right to cancel. Hopefully, since the deal has lasted this long (and probably has a ridiculous amount of orders), it's not a mistake.

vote-for1vote-against

@lauransteve: I think they can still back out, and refund the money. Though amazon does this better by not charging until shipping, so it's a lot less messy if it turns out to be an error and amazon ends up cancelling orders.

vote-for2vote-against

Yup, they can cancel any time due to a pricing error. Check out Pricing and Content Info section.

Thanks OP! The Hobbit money included makes this such a good deal. Here's to hoping that it goes through!

vote-for1vote-against

They now have it "Out of Stock" online. Guess they caught their goof.

vote-for2vote-against

Why are you people so worried about this? The description of the item says Blu-ray trilogy and has a full description of everything in it (each film + validity of Hobbit bucks). Order it, take screen shots and, when Walmart tries to cancel the order after they realize their ridiculous mistake, stick it to them and make them honor it. Hey, if they don't, we can always settle a class action suit against them for a whole lot more than the value of this movie deal.

vote-for1vote-against

@macadoscious: Description was different before.

Now the link displays Out of Stock online. Rat farts! That would have been a great deal...

vote-for1vote-against

It's currently showing up as out of stock online. Missed this deal. :(

vote-for0vote-against

Agghhh received an email that they cancelled the order.

vote-for2vote-against

@804933697: Really? I haven't gotten anything yet..

vote-for3vote-against

Mine appears to still be a go. No emails from WM since my order confirmation.

vote-for-1vote-against

@muya: So shouldn't Woot change it here? Kind of like false advertising....

vote-for1vote-against

No cancellations or notifications from Wally world. Here's what it says in my account though. "Processing. Your order is being processed. It is estimated to arrive between Thursday, 12/06/2012 and Monday, 12/10/2012."

vote-for2vote-against

The new pre-order price is $29.96... Guess they fixed it, huh? (Here's hoping they process all of the $10 orders!)

vote-for1vote-against

We will be getting these in 10-14 days.,..Finally!

vote-for1vote-against

For anyone wondering if they would honor this price I just received a charge and shipping email. They honored the price! Sweet deal!

It is to bad they didn't honor my $10 Dark Knight order, they didn't even cancel it they charged me the $30 and shipped it.

vote-for1vote-against

Just got an email that my order has shipped.
It'll be interesting to see what discs this set actually has. It's selling for $30 now and there's another set that's only $12 that just has the theatrical releases, so I'm guessing maybe this will have the extended cuts but not have any extras.

vote-for1vote-against

I also received a confirmation that my purchase was shipped.

vote-for1vote-against

@luke727: shipped today :) guess you were wrong.

@heathe: Woot doesn't post the non-sponsored deals, users do. When you see the RIP on the top it means the deal is no longer available.

vote-for2vote-against

Don't forget, the Movie Money expires 2 weeks after the Premiere.... on 12/30/2012

vote-for1vote-against

They honored the pricing error. 2 copies shipped for less than $25 including shipping and tax. Sweet deal!

vote-for1vote-against

@joymonkey: Outside of movie money, it's hard to tell the difference between the $12 kit snd the $30 kit.
One shows .26 lbs vs .63 lbs for the more expensive one, so no idea what's in it. Both say "theatrical", so that's a given.

Got mine today.
It's the theatrical releases with the 3-DVD "making of"

Received mine today via FedEx. I'm happy! :-)

vote-for1vote-against

Got mine too, but the "Hobbit Movie Money" sticker didn't want to come off. When it did come off, all the instructions are illegible. I can read the code, but where do I go to redeem it? I tried going to hollywoodmoviemoney.com, but that doesn't seem to be it.

vote-for1vote-against

OK, got mine.
Filling in some blanks.
a) Its $5 Movie Money

b) It is Hollywood Movie Money
To find participating theaters; Go to www.hollywoodmoviemoney.com and enter Promo Code 39060

c) The sticker comes off fine for me without heat, just pull slowly from the corner, then the edges. I didnt want to warm it with a hair dryer if I didnt have to, because the sticker is stuck to a very cool halogram cover art.

d)Go to www.activaterewards.com/thehobbit and enter the unique code on the back of sticker.

I received these as well. I was disappointed in the $5 coupon, as I was expecting a ticket to see the movie (like it normally is every other time I've bought a movie that comes with something like this). I was also uncomfortable giving my information to a third-party site that looks like it's going to use it in ways that I don't want them to. I contacted Walmart's executive customer service through an EECB and they gave me a partial refund. Maybe if enough people do this, they may not try to pull it next time around.

vote-for1vote-against

I too received my copy earlier this month. I haven't yet tried to redeem the Hobbit Movie Money as I'm waiting to see the movie with family during the Christmas holiday.
