@cupofworms: I order from them on a regular basis. It is the same company as 1saleaday. Be prepared for two things. 1- possible SLOW shipping, and 2- to receive exactly what they are advertising. If you have a bit of patience, you will be fine.

It looks from the ad, this is a B&N factory refurb since the whole 1-year warranty is offered.

Just bought one!
B&N has refurbs @ 149.99 so ya save by using Ben's. As long as I get it before x-mas all will be fine.
A note on B&N pre-certs ..... I got the NOOK Color a little over a year ago. Had boot trouble with it and B&N sent me another unit without hassle. I think the Color model is awesome, the table has got to be even better. Good overall reviews on it, we'll see then I guess.

@morriea: How long is "slow" shipping? I'm seeing a lot of reviews online about products not shipping until people complain or ask for a refund via paypal which is a bit worrisome.

The price on this item is really good, but I've only ever heard bad things about 1saleaday and am a bit wary about buying from a related company. Has anyone else bought from them, and is the "slow" shipping problem usual?

@sebitron: I just looked in my account. an order from 11/13 is shipped and an order from 11/14 is processing. They seem to be getting the stuff out pretty quickly at the moment. (subject to change).

It doesn't actually say this is a refurbished, just that it is "certified" and used. I wonder how much battery life is left in a used one. I always assume new batteries are installed in refurbished units (though perhaps I am wrong on that).

@thomasr: 'CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED" is the B&N designation for their factory refurbished units. The biggest clues are retail box and 1-year warranty. You would only see that with the B&N ones.

I've ordered from them both, 1SaleADay and Ben's. The most recent was on Sept 25 and didn't receive the order until Oct 5 and we're in the same state. The day I contacted them on shipping info they sent tracking but I also received it that same day. Communication may not be their strong point but I have no complaints about purchasing from them...except now that I moved to FL from NY I have to pay sales tax.
