Great. I promised the cats Meow mix and the link doesn't seem to work any more.
Now I don't think it's safe to go to sleep tonight.

I hate to be a downer, but Meow Mix is a terrible, awful cat food and nobody should ever feed it to an animal they want to be healthy. It's got a ton of fillers like corn, which is really difficult for cats to digest (and is impossible for dogs to digest). Always check the ingredients list! If the first 5-10 ingredients aren't whole meats, meat meals, or vegetables like sweet potato, avoid it!

@zenzirouj: Maybe you should take a look at the ingredients in any major cat food. They all contain ground yellow corn and corn gluten in the first 5.

It's cheap cat food. My cat has been eating Meow Mix for over 18 years straight. Currently watching TV next to me. I'd say that's pretty good for a cat...

@firebirdude: Yes, those are all bad cat foods, glad I could help! They keep most cats alive, sure, if that's your only goal. But if anybody's cat has problems with pooping or throwing up, consider switching to a quality food. Just be sure to do the change gradually so as not to upset their digestion.

@firebirdude: you beat me to it by 20 hours. Wow, I'm behind the times!

@zenzirouj: Just proving a point. You used words like "awful" and said "nobody should ever feed it to an animal". Well I have been for years and my cat is living an above average life span. No medications. No problems at all. I'm not arguing better food is probably out there, but it's also 2X the price. I can't afford to eat steak for dinner every night either...

And just to break up the discussion.... :-)
