SO tempting. I was planning on buying one... not sure there's a better price on the internet than this.
@tamayoduck: not to toot my own horn here, but i absolutely LOVE my dyson.
when i first got mine i vacuumed everyday for a month straight.
no seriously, EVERYDAY. it is by far one of my best investments.... :)
@wootiewooterson: Hehehe. I'm a college student just graduating next week, starting my new job in July... I'm thinking maybe my parents will pitch in a bit for an early birthday present... ;)
I definitely think the bagless design is the future, though.
@tamayoduck: CONGRATS!!
offer to vacuum their house. lol
you never know, it might just work. :)
We hae had our Dyson 3 months now and love it.
Bagless rules. Once you use a bagless machine and see how much stuff it picks up, you realize that you should change your bag once a month or even sooner. Otherwise, the vacumns cannot pick up all that it needs to or could
and not as efficiently either.
My question is, where is all that dirt coming from??
Dysons are good, just know that the ball type has a very small canister so unless you have very small pets (i.e. hamsters) I can't imagine how much vacuuming you can do before you have to dump the canister. We have 2 large dogs and can only buy the Dysons with the biggest canisters and still have to dump them a few times when we vacuum.
My wife and I got the DC24 Limited when it was offered on Woot and we haven't regretted it since. The day we got it, I put it together and vacuumed part of the livingroom (even though it was just vacuumed earlier that morning) and the canister was nearly full. It really does pick everything.
But you may want to check with your carpet's manufacturer in the event it is still under warranty. I hear it can void the warranty on your carpet if you clean it with a Dyson.
It's weird that the dyson canisters have been getting smaller as time goes on (and the motors getting weaker). The DC07 was still the strongest and had the biggest bin capacity of the lot. Anyone know if they upped efficiency by design later on?
There's a comparison chart here on this ebay listing (http://vi.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=380231586389&bv=safari&t=0&js=-1&ssid=0&category=20614&ds=0&seller=vacuumwarehouse&caz.html#ht3157wt1123)
Are the DC15s still sold? I always loved the DC15 animal colours, although my red and purple DC07 is a lot of fun.
I just picked up the same model sans the brush attachment new from target last week for $319, so you may be able to find a better price if you look around.
The site says, "Out of Stock - Call for Information".
I was going to jump on this deal but then read a few reviews that this model scratched up hardwood floors (even in the bare floor mode). Damn!
I have a Dyson animal canister vac and that thing is bombproof. Cleans up all the Pug hair from my house even during shedding season. The call is great if you don't have stairs... I have 3 floors so canister was the only way to go.
