The wootdeal code takes 5% off the entire order, not only that item.

Each panel requires 6 AAA batteries, not included, of course.

Yeah! How can those spiders spin a proper web without a little light?

What's with all the deals - they're all listed as "hurry, almost out". Looks like to be cheap ploy to rush you into an irrational purchase.

@sbogden: actually ive shopped there a lot and the stuff does sell out pretty quick, stuff changes a lot during the day some times.

Just tried to purchase, site got hung up between it & paypal... still don't know if I really ordered anything or not.

vote-for1vote-against

@sbogden that caught my eye when I first started buying there but once it hits the almost sold out they typically sell out pretty quick after because I've learned to keep my eye on those for the new product that replaces it, hope that helps

@ahthompson: same thing happened to me. i checked my paypal and funds were debited. got into my account in the website and the order showed up. if you didn't see your order i would get in touch with them, especially if the money has come out of your paypal.

can't find a manufacturer site - anyone know if these are plastic or metal?

vote-for1vote-against

@sbogden: so its like a W00T off!!!!!!!

LOL!!!!

vote-for1vote-against

@itswildbear: I sent a 'comment/question' to their support desk, they didn't find an order for me. And there is no debit on my PayPal account, so I'm thinking it didn't make it. Guess they saved me $30, huh?!? lol

In for two. I have been looking for something like this for a while. Thank you!

9 LEDs is a tad misleading: it's 3 per pod, 9 per strip. The AAA battery cost could make this an un-deal pretty quick. anyone had experience with these?

like, @theoneill555, I'd like to know what material these are.

A little glitch in the website - my shipping address is in the continental US (as required) but my billing address is not. There's no provision for having a billing address in Alaska and paying for something to be shipped to someone in the lower 48. :(

vote-for2vote-against

@perkalicious11: Only if you buy your AAA's at a gas station. I just bought a 48 pack of them for $10 at Sam's(A smokin' good deal I might add). So that's 20 cents each. Not exactly a deal killer.

Does anyone know how bright these are? I have some under-counter lights that aren't nearly bright enough. I'm looking for something that makes it comfortable to read a recipe, for example.

vote-for0vote-against

that is not a good price at all. i've seen these stand alone LED lights at outfits like meritline.com or dealextreme.com for $2-3 regular price. (http://www.meritline.com/newsearch.aspx?SearchTerm=led+stick+light) they even have motion sensor ones for less than $8 shipped.

@anniefrannie: I was thinking it'd be a deal-killer if it's constantly eating up batteries. Not so much because of the battery cost, but the battery consumption. Plus then you're taking it down to replace the batteries when they run out of juice, and when you want to turn them on, you're walking around the kitchen to each unit to power each on and turn each off separately.

I'm interested in under-cabinet lighting for my kitchen, but for maintenance it might be worth the extra time up front to get something that's either controlled in a set or attached to a switch.

vote-for1vote-against

Anybody have an idea of how long these last on a single set of batteries?

vote-for1vote-against

@172722: 21hrs after I posted that it's flashing "Hurry, almost sold out" and 20minutes after it was featured on deals.woot, I go back and the status bar has not moved one iota - I call shenanigans!!!!
