The sale reads ICS 4.0, but this a Jelly Bean 4.2 (updated version of JB) Tablet.

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago...It came with ICS, but as soon as I powered it up, it checked for upgates and installed JB 4.2.1

does the doc have an sd card slot for expansion and does the doc come with the tablet. does the tablet have a sd card slot? not a tablet expert and i would like to get one for my husband. please help.

The tablet has a MicroSD slot in it, and the dock has a regular SD/SDHC slot in it as well, along with USB ports

@purthilly: Yes. The Keyboard Dock has a FULL SIZE SD Card slot, USB port, and a battery to extend the life and charge the tablet. This is in addition to the microSD Card slot and microHDMI out on the tablet itself.
