I think for free it probably is okay if it breaks on day 3... You just need to get 3 or 4 of them so they last the entire 1.5 weeks.

I have also had mixed success with these headlamps. Got 1 and it works fine. decided to get a couple more when they had the deal again, 1 didn't work out of the package and the other works but only has 1 setting vs 3. Honestly for free I'm willing to take the chance. I'm in for 1 more and getting a bunch of touch screen gloves (since it's $5 shipping anyways). Gloves work great by the way.

I got the pair of LED headlamps free, just pay for shipping/handling $4.99 deal a good while back (probably a year ago?). They were ones that had 8 little LED's in them, but looked about the same as these. They seemed pretty cheap, and didn't hold up all that great over time (some of the LEDs going out, light not working at all, etc.), although there was some decent use out of them for the price I guess. Unless you're ordering other items from there too, I would recommend spending just a couple more bucks and getting one of these http://www.meritline.com/high-quality-led-zoomable-headlamp-gray---p-59890.aspx instead.
