I got these for my nephew a few months ago, he hated his earbuds, and they work great. They fold up so they fit easily into backpacks.

anyone have reviews from websites?

vote-for0vote-against

Figure in the $6.00 for shipping and the price more than doubles to $11.

vote-for1vote-against

Any have word on sound quality? Amazon hasn't any, would like one who answer be one with ear for music, if possible

vote-for1vote-against

No one seems to have any reviews on them i have googled them and nothing if the quality is decent i would love to have a pair for $11

vote-for1vote-against

I had to a buy a pair for only 11$. They are about 30-25$ on amazon. I didn't find any reviews as these are a fairly new product. I wouldn't expect them to be amazing, but I'm sure they aren't horrible. Yay for the blue pirate skull =D.

I'd stay away from off brand headphones even at this price point. For 13 bucks you can get Koss ksc75's which come with a lifetime warranty and have been quite highly praised in the audio community. You'll certainly do better to go with names like Sennheiser, Audio Technica, or AKG as they are much less likely to die in one ear after two months of use and they don't sound bad either.

Most "Professional" only have a wire going to one side the other ear is then fed by a wire going through the headband, as opposed to the Y cable these headphones have. This has kinda become the definition of what makes headphones "Professional" (and being full ear of course). So, in my estimation, these are in no way "Professional". Just for the record, the one wire thing is because professionals are putting on and removing their headphones often and it's much simpler/easier/faster without having to put your head into the loop created by your headphones.

I bought mine off Ebay for $13.50, $3.50 for the headphones and $10 s/h. They sound as good as Apple ear-buds. For the price you don't expect high quality but they are not bad. As I said earlier, I bought them for my 9 yr old nephew several months ago. He throws them in his backpack with his ipod, also bought from Woot, and not had a problem yet.

You can buy these for as low as $9.16/piece (shipping included) in lots of five at Aliexpress.

I'd be in for 3 at least if there was flat rate shipping, but for me tax and shipping added up to $11.99 each. Pass.

@deadersocks: But NOT an ear for grammar? ;-0

vote-for3vote-against

@tcayer

No. Ear for grammer not help for hearing sound quality. Thank anyway.

I have had these earphones before and they work quite well. They went through some pretty rough and tumble stuff and even held together when i fell off my bike. The only reason I have to get new ones is because a flight attendant ran over them with a service cart.

Note: do not run these over with food carts.

vote-for1vote-against

@themorgan.. did you at least get a couple free drinks on that flight? I hope it wasn't right off the bat.

vote-for1vote-against

@amford86: It happened in the first hour of a 10 hour flight. She gave me some lame AA headphones that you get for free anyways.

The ones on aliexpress seem to be Asian knockoffs. I don't own a pair of ihip headphones myself, but I have listened from them and the quality is good. They seem to be a starting brand with decent quality, but no name as of yet - hence the low price. But they are starting to pop up in smaller websites: http://www.dadadeals.com/categories/Rockin'-Speakers-%26-Earphones/

Now, you too can be a professional song shuffler for $4.99 + Shipping!

vote-for1vote-against

@gmijackso: Well unless your listening to unbalanced audio each being brought in by dedicated plugs on an amplifier.

vote-for1vote-against

@izzysdeal: Why would Asians knock-off a line that has "no name as yet"? It would totally defeat the purpose. Ihip are generics with a name stamped on them, and that "smaller website" that carries them is another deal site, similar to Steals...Ziggy gets his stuff from China, too. http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=metallic+earphones&CatId=0

And guess what, there is no Santa Claus.

vote-for0vote-against

Well they aren't very quick to ship, its been a few days and I'm still waiting for an email letting me know it's shipped. They sure took the money very quickly though, the payment posted within a couple of hours!

vote-for0vote-against

@ologic: This design is not unique. If you Google "star headphones", many headphones of this style can be found in any price range. What I was talking about was the quality. Since iHip is going through the trouble to build a brand name, their products are more likely to be of better quality than Asian copies of this particular design. Not guaranteed, but more likely.

I posted that link because it actually had a review on one of the iHip products. Sorry I didn't point that out

I'm pissed off right no! My son just bought a pair at the Steeler store in Monrovell mall in Pittsburgh. We just got off the plane get home he takes them out of the plastic and there broken. We live in GA and he paid 30.00 for them.
