Checked and it is working again. I'm assuming they added more funds. No way to re-activate it though.

vote-for1vote-against

@mwal: not sure why you're replying towards me?

vote-for1vote-against

I did a chat with newegg and they replied with this:

Thank you for holding. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. After checking, I show this promotional code has been force-ended due to the reason that the funds have been run out. Since there are too many customers pre-ordering this hottest item, the funds are run out very quickly. For your reference, please kindly note that all the promotions are offered valid while supply last. I also have checked with my supervisor with this issue. Unfortunately, at this point, there is nothing else we can do for you regarding this issue. We apologize for this. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

@chauchow25: I ordered mine at 1:00 pm central which is 2 est and it worked. Also the main page says 36 hours still. http://promotions.newegg.com/NEemail/Apr-0-2012/48hoursale17/index-landing.html?nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL041712&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL041712-_-EMC-041712-Index-_-E0-_-PromoWord
Though they might of used all the codes they allotted to it. It was fairly popular on SD.

Edit: I'd give it an hour or two and see what happens.

vote-for2vote-against

Yup, looks like they pulled the plug:

The promo code EMCNFJC22 has been closed and is no longer active.

vote-for2vote-against

@nabrahamson: same thing, says: "The promo code EMCNFJC22 has been closed and is no longer active." as of 2:00 EST

vote-for3vote-against

Just got a message that the coupon code is no longer valid. Anyone else able to verify?

vote-for1vote-against

@motytrah: Amazon also has a price guarantee so it's totally worth it to purchase right away if you were already willing to take the hit for the extra delivery speed in the first place

vote-for2vote-against

@freakyjoker: Whenever I preorder on newegg it's waiting for me at the door on release day

vote-for1vote-against

Cancelled my 60 dollar amazon pre-order for this. good deal

vote-for1vote-against

Note that you have to subscribe to their newsletter to get the discount:
"A code you entered is exclusive to newsletter subscribers. By checking this box you consent to receive additional deals and promotions through our free e-mail newsletter."

Not a big deal for me, since I'm already on the list and it just gets filtered anyway, but I didn't see anyone else point that out.

vote-for2vote-against

Release day (like any patch day) means crowded servers, unexpected crashing and other issues. Always has with Blizzard, always will.

In for two copies from newegg. Saved me $20 in my household (one for me one for the kids) and was well worth it.

vote-for1vote-against

Why order from Amazon today? They still are going to be selling it for MAP price tomorrow. Might as well wait and see if they do a match on NE's price.

vote-for1vote-against

Pretty much the only deal out there for DIII. Gotta respect that. But... I ordered my copy on Amazon. Call me a crazy gamer nerd, but after tax the extra $5 is worth it to me to have it delivered on the release date.

vote-for1vote-against

so, with sales tax its $53.61 from newegg for me and i will get it 2-3 days later. Or amazon w/prime for $6.38 more it will be waiting for me when I get home on release date?
I am going with amazon. Also this morning around 4am PST when i got this e-mail from newegg, their price was 69.99 and the 10 off took it down to 59.99, but now it is going the 49.99 thing.

vote-for1vote-against

newegg always has stuff like this with new release games. you just have to be okay about waiting a day or two more than release date to get it. i just ordered though, any deal for a game like this is a good deal. :)

vote-for2vote-against

@skizzo2k5: Talked to their customer service... Wouldn't ship until the release date or after "Thank you. There is a high chance that we will be ship the order out on the release day. However, an item's ETA is subject to change without notice. Please keep in mind that this is only an estimated date of arrival given to us by the manufacture. There may be delays due to inventory error or other reasons but we will not process, charge or ship your pre-order until the item on the pre-order is in stock. Is there anything else I can help you with today?"

vote-for2vote-against

So you wouldn't get the game until the 17th? Would they send you your product code earlier so you can download the game?

vote-for3vote-against

@luciddreamz613: I agree. Almost everybody I play wow with did the annual pass for the free Diablo. It was a good ploy, get people to sign up for a years worth of wow, give them Diablo (which in my case, I was going to buy anyway) and relieve some of the end of expansion exodus.

vote-for3vote-against

@berrdatherrd: I was just talking about the low price thing next to the pre-order button:

Newegg will monitor your purchase for any price decreases and will honor the final Sales Order price of the item if it is lower than the price at pre-order. Newegg will not honor any other lower amount before that time.

vote-for1vote-against

@daviscmd: that's called IronEgg and it's only available on products with the IronEgg listing

vote-for1vote-against

@daviscmd: Yes I just chatted with them and they told me to email when it ships and they will apply the discount codes at that time.

vote-for1vote-against

@gustavexiii: Newegg showed a release date of 5/15/12. If you go to newegg.com and search for Diablo 3 it will come up in the list with a release date next to the title.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007756&IsNodeId=1&Description=diablo%203&name=PC%20Games&Order=BESTMATCH

vote-for3vote-against

They're probably also doing the promo due to the large number of players receiving the game for free from WoW's annual pass program that Blizzard had a few months ago.

The game will more than likely be incredibly popular (the beta is awesome) but D3 sales for retailers are going to be awful.

vote-for7vote-against

@myndmelt: If you pre-orderd from Newegg, a quick phone call and they'd prolly give you the discount.

They have that pre-order price guarantee - (lowest price) so I doubt you'd get any flak.

vote-for3vote-against

Sorry for the newbie question, but does this version ONLY work on PCs or will it run on a Mac as well?

vote-for4vote-against

Paid 49.99, thanks for the find!

vote-for3vote-against

In case anyone's desperate for an enjoyable Diablo-II-like experience with better graphics in the meantime, Amazon has Titan Quest gold edition for $6.55.

vote-for2vote-against

So I'm ticked I just pre-ordered 2 copies a couple weeks ago. Not really wanting to cancel and re-order uhg. This always happens.

vote-for2vote-against

Newegg is doing this because this is the retail version. I guarantee it's their attempt to try and battle the digital downloads, which have been so popular lately, from Blizzard and get their piece of the big Diablo 3 pie.

vote-for3vote-against

@soperja: no, they do not.. the best you get is 2-day and shoprunner is not available for Diablo III as of now

vote-for1vote-against

Anyone know if Newegg also offers release date delivery?

vote-for3vote-against

I, too, will verify that I got the $49.99 price from Newegg on the pre-order of Diablo III retail.

I'd also like to thank whoever tipped us off, I had no idea any seller would be discounting this gem. Too bad it's not a shoprunner item, I'd get 2-day shipping instead of 3.

vote-for18vote-against

Also verified that it works.

Step 1: Add to cart
Step 2: Sign in/Create account
Step 3: Enter PromoCode 'EMCNFJC22'
Step 4: Have a nice TacoBell dinner with the $10 you just saved

vote-for16vote-against

You have to log in to newegg's website, add it to your cart, and then enter the promo code to see the $10 discount applied.

Just verified it still works.

vote-for-22vote-against

Someone must have altered Blizzard...back to $59.99

:(

vote-for1vote-against

You'll notice the e-blast e-mail doesn't even show the price cause Blizzard ALWAYS starts their games at $59.99... They're prolly not even allowed to advertise this price

vote-for-48vote-against

Same price as everywhere else. No deal.
