I signed up for one.

Thanks!!

vote-for2vote-against

Classy. I needed a Christmas present for the brother-in-law.

vote-for1vote-against

tried a few times but after entering hte info, and waiting while they attempt to verify my info, I got 'sorry the page you are trying to access cannot be found' huh?
Im well over 21 thats for sure

vote-for1vote-against

I actually went through it a few times, only to have it say my request couldn't be accepted...
oh well...

vote-for1vote-against

Same here. Couldn't get it to go through. Hugely disappointed, because that's an exceptionally lame (read "cool") shirt.

vote-for2vote-against

It was rough verifying a previous phone number but was able to get through the ordeal... Here's to a last minute halloween costume in the bank!

vote-for1vote-against

Don't waste your time. I'm over, and I got 2 times:

"WE'RE SORRY"
"Unfortunately, we're unable to allow you access to BlackandMild.com at this time.
BlackandMild.com is only available to adult smokers 21 years of age or older."

vote-for2vote-against

I figured it out...you have to say you are a SMOKER and what you smoke on the first sign up page otherwise it gives you the 'you are not 21' message...sneaky. Once you LIE and say you smoke and what you smoke, you can get through. I think there are 4 pages of info you fill out and then when you click to sign up for sweepstakes there is a button for the free shirt.

vote-for1vote-against

Unfortunately they want too much personal information for my taste. Going to have to pass, and find this somewhere else...

vote-for3vote-against

i just answered everything honestly and it worked! to bad the shirt is too small cuz im too fat.

vote-for1vote-against

seriously they want my ssn i am sorry but if you aint giving me a job you aint getting that

vote-for2vote-against

A t-shirt isnt worth me entering my social security number!

vote-for3vote-against

@deeboe: If you really think your social is THAT secure, think again. Any type of "people finder" website has the ability to access and display your social. Entering the last 4 digits of said social does not present any type of absurd security risk to you.

vote-for2vote-against

if you sign up and then sign in each day, you can win some pretty cool prizes

vote-for0vote-against

Screw them. Dam privacy pirates. There's absolutely NO reason they need that much personal info from you.

vote-for1vote-against

@elwrayswrecker: Damn skippy. I'm with you on that.

vote-for4vote-against

got it! took 5 mins. no big deal.

vote-for1vote-against

They only want the last 4 digits of your social. That's still about 3 more digits than I'm willing to give 'em...

I'm a classy guy, would've loved this shirt...now going to have to steal my brothers SSN lol...

I think the lesson here is; 'if you're not old enough to get a free t-shirt, just steal your dad's identity.'

vote-for1vote-against

I'm glad to see it's working for some of you. I was beginning to think I just got lucky.

As for the personal info... I figure if you can't trust a tobacco company, who can you trust?

vote-for1vote-against

Worked for me. Took a little while to fill out the survey and didn't realize I could skip it, but my free smoking jacket t-shirt should be at my house in around 6 wks. Thanks for posting!

vote-for1vote-against

@mrozio: I got through to the end and it asked me for my entire SSN.

vote-for1vote-against

@bbbeluga: It was bringing up the same message for me. Please let me know if you find some way around this page.

vote-for1vote-against

@sdanrich: A shame, too... because this is really fantastic! It would go well with my tuxedo T-shirt!

vote-for0vote-against

you are retarted if you sign up @ their site... Really? They have to have you Drivers Licence info and the last 4 of your social? Are they stupid?

vote-for0vote-against

I just did it and had no problem whatsoever

vote-for1vote-against

Entered the info and POOF my shirt is on the way. Don't know what you paranoids are complaining about but I suspect some have their windows blacked out and wear tin foil helmets. ;-)

vote-for2vote-against

I just chose "skip" on the survey and there was no problem. All they needed was email, DOB, and address (as far as personal information goes) and i was good to go.

vote-for1vote-against

@nickacumberland: Where'd you find this "skip"? After entering name/address/DOB, it brings the next page asking for more personal information.

vote-for2vote-against

Weird, my hubby smokes them occasionally so I signed him up because he'd like the shirt. It didn't ask for any drivers license info or a SSN. Just the usual name/address and the survey about how much you smoke. Clicked the link for the drawing/free shirt, confirmed the correct address and it said the shirt would be on the way! Thanks!

vote-for1vote-against

@elwrayswrecker:

It's at the bottom next to the "continue" or "submit" button... whatever it was. There's a skip button down there too.

vote-for3vote-against

Worked for me just fine, took about 3 min

vote-for3vote-against

Done ... no DL# needed (just the addy from the gov issued ID), no SS# needed (just the last 4 to verify your identity) ... as far as the "paranoid" comments go ... i say blame the government ... i'm sure this info is required for them to offer a "club" for smokers ... and for those ppl who are complaining but don't read ... get a grip ... if you said it asks for your DL# or FULL ss# that's just a plain lie ... get over yourself ...

vote-for1vote-against

If it cannot verify your age without the last 4 digits then it will attempt to get your full number. I would not trust this guys, they should not need your full SSN for anything.

vote-for0vote-against

because my cell phone area code is way different then the area code of my current address i got denied.. booooo

vote-for1vote-against

I'd rather pay $10 - $15 for this shirt than divulge that much personal information over the Internet.

vote-for1vote-against

@scutter: Do you e-file your taxes? Have you ever checked your credit score online? (www.annualcreditreport.com) Do you do online banking? Do you manage credit cards or student loans online? Heck, didn't you practically give woot.com all this info when you set your account up?
blackandmild.com already has access to your info through a background check. In other words, your personal data is already on the Internet, so they "could" look your stuff up anyway whether you give them any info or not.
If this was a site/company I never heard of before I too would be suspicious. This is a pretty well known company that has been around awhile, so they're not gonna just take your info and run. As someone else pointed out, they (as a tobacco company) are probably required by law to verify their customers are of legal age before sending them coupons or marketing their products to 'em.

But...if you're really interested in the shirt...how 'bout $25?

vote-for1vote-against

too much work, can't possibly be worth it :(

vote-for1vote-against

@puddinbooger: I know, right? Typing letters and numbers and clicking things on the interweb is hard!

Just kidding, chum. I understand what you're saying.

vote-for1vote-against

The Ol' Lady has informed me my shirt just arrived and is waiting for me at home!

vote-for1vote-against

i just got mine a week ago after i had forgotten i requested one. Free of charge but ugly as hell.

vote-for0vote-against

vote-for1vote-against

Johnny,
1) it is a shirt not a real jacket
2) we can't help you here so you'll want to contact black n mild.
Besides, we all got our sweet shirts like 6 months ago, so what the eff do we care? I am gonna chalk this up to "not my problem".
