As you can see, the price was over $60 until a few days ago. Newegg has this on special right now, and Amazon dropped their price to beat Newegg's. Maybe that is what has you confused?

@fmfondeur: It just occurred to me - you might have been thinking about regular SD cards, which are priced much lower than MicroSD for large-capacity cards.

In any case, I stand by this as a solid deal.

That deal is for a full-size SD card.

That said, $39.25 for this one is in no way any kind of a special deal for a MicroSD card (not even at Amazon itself; just do a search); they can routinely be had for under $40 now.

Me, I'm gonna wait till Black Friday (OfficeMax frequently has doorbuster deals on storage) and see what kind of price I can find.

My Amazon order arrived today, it was 37.99 but now up to 38.25. And it really wasn't a spectacular deal imho, just a fair price.

@fmfondeur: great! i didn't know it was posted already, but saw this on slickdeals and spoofee and decided to share it with others! I bought one for my cowon j3 as well, it's gonna be sweet. now i don't need to worry about saving space and just play my music as FLAC instead of compressed mp3s.

For the sake of posterity, I just want to point out that I transposed the "2" and the "9" in the price in the thread title.

Amazon actually had this card for $32.95, not $39.25. That was 5 cents cheaper than Newegg was selling it for.

@anotherhiggins: maybe i missed it too, but newegg had free shipping (well eggsaver shipping). Did the amazon deal qualify for amazon prime shipping? If so, I should've gone w/amazon just cause I've had faster shipment from them before. Darn, oh well. My newegg shipment will arrive sometime next week, hopefully not crushed like an egg...harrrrdiehaaaarhaaaar.

I would have picked one up, but I'm thinking about getting the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out, and it doesn't have an SD slot.
