@thedradler: You might want to get a larger size drive then just adding another 1TB drive. You'll thank yourself later and probably save more money. I have 6 external drives on my computer and I had to order a weird power strip so I wasn't having like 5 power strips behind my computer/TV. I've included the link to the power strip below. The only complaint I have about it is I have to keep a box under it so it doesn't sit all weird because items plugged in are pushing against the ground.

I use one of these as a backup drive for my Boot Drive. It comes with a utility that does incremental backups, so if your Boot Drive is about 500GB, it lasts a long time by backing up only what changes...If your Boot Drive is larger than that, you might want to consider some file management systems to organize them offsite...

Initially I read that as 3TB for 59, I would have bought the whole stock.

@fat50strat: This is a great drive and the USB 3.0 interface makes it dead fast. My backups are over almost as soon as they start. If you don't have a USB 3.0 port in your PC you can add one for about $20....It is well worth it...

I bought one of these and it failed in 3 months. Treat them gently. I saved the files with the help of a recovery program but this thing developed a mechanical issue and it wouldn't spin up.

Just bought same item at Amazon, same price. Will give it a whirl.....

@jeefray: I bought one two years ago when the first came out and it is running fine today...I have not read any reports of large scale failures. I suspect your experience is the result of a solitary bad unit....All MFRs have them. Sorry for your bad luck, but this is a solid drive, which Toshiba has a good rep for...

At $59 it's a no brainer, however I can't find it for less than $69 plus tax @ Walmart, Amazon, etc.? Where was listed for $59??

@m3doc: These deals usually last about a day in general.....It is probably back to regular price by now, which actually is still a good deal for what you get...
