Gave it a try and it went through. fingers crossed. I just went straight to the L.A. zoo website and used the code. My kids are gonna dig it, times are tough. Thank You.

I got one, too, and a receipt so our summer is going to be a bit more fun. Thank you so much!!

isn't the point of buying membership to help with the cost of upkeep and care for the animals?

@littleghettoazn: Makes sense. I have a feeling this will get canceled. I only see them wanting to do this if it meant that people would spend money once they got in on food, souvenirs, etc. I haven't been in a while. I wonder if they charge for parking.

If it works I will definitely be spending money there.

It gets even better if it works. Even if you never make it to the Los Angeles Zoo chances are you can get 50% or more at your local zoo!

Thank you for your interest in membership at the L.A. Zoo through the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association!

Please note: A promo code claiming to offer a free family membership to the Zoo was circulated online by third parties. This offer was not valid; neither the Zoo nor GLAZA issued or approved any such offer. A programming glitch allowed users to enter the invalid code and get a thank you message, despite the fact that no membership transaction had occurred. Steps are being taken to address this programming glitch and prevent future confusion.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this programming glitch, which did not occur on and was not endorsed or promoted by Zoo staff. Thank you for your understanding.

I knew it was too good to be true...
