Aren't Class 10s a joke? I thought I read somewhere that class 6 was the highest an SDHC card could go.

@sunny42: Class 6 was the highest SDHC cards could go until 2 years ago when class 10 SD cards were introduced. Class 16 was announced last year and I would think they'll be made available to purchase within a year or two.

I wonder how this will do with my DSLR

Definitely recommend looking for reviews on this brand, I don't know anything about Ridata cards, but I heard the quality depends greatly on the brand for the higher level cards. (Apparently some cheap/counterfeit Class 10 cards are actually slower than Class 6 and so on...) I just bought a 8gb SDHC Transcend Class 10 card for $13 shipped from Amazon though. I would opt for the more reliable source; I order from Meritline frequently, but have seen the quality of their products vary greatly... Especially if this item doesn't come from their US warehouse, and takes the long journey from their China warehouse...

These are real Class 10s, and Meritline is good. But count on 2-3 weeks for delivery.

These are great for videos, and especially videos taken with a DSLR. They're great for everything.

@ojohn: Thanks for the verification that the are real class 10s. I'll probably sleep on it and order tomorrow

I hope I'm good for 10,000 insertions
