Fallout New Vegas Digital Collector's Edition Download for $12.50
Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.
It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead…and that’s before things really get ugly. It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way.
As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare "winner takes all" and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3.
Enjoy your stay.
WOW! This is a great deal! Metacritic has Fallout:NV at 84/100, http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/fallout-new-vegas
I LOVED Fallout 3 and heard this was even closer to the original Fallout spirit, so this is a no-brainer for me at this price. Just finished Darksiders too, and was wondering what I'd play next...
Has anyone used this site before? Playing Fallout 3 right now and it's awesome
@brad3326: D2D is very trusted and has been around for a while now. Weirdly they were also just bought out by GameFly
In for one!
Is this stand alone, or is it an add-on to Fallout 3?
@edventure: This is a standalone game.
BTW, you get a CD key with this, and you CAN activate that key on Steam. I just bought from this link and did just that.
I have bought lots of games from this site, but haven't in more than a year since Steam started having pretty decent deals. I have had no problems with any downloads, compatibility or retrieving activation codes years after the original purchase.
As far as the game, this is a steal since its really pretty new and is an overall awesome game. I bought the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 (has all expacs) for like $20 on Amazon, so for $12.50 for its "sequel" this is a steal. I just hope all the bugs are worked out of it as I heard lots of the initial criticism was about wierd glitches like freezing or monsters falling through ground in the PC version. For this price, I'll take the chance.
Soooo not a deal. This is 59.99 on amazon.com right now. If you buy it as well as another full price game.
@wootbretz: $12.50 isn't a deal because it's four times the price at Amazon? What?
Extra 15% off the new price: http://direct2drive.tellapal.com/offers/615051861/interstitial/ttL5W
Brings it down to $10.63
So is NV just going to have the two DLC packs it currently has, or is it getting more? Seeing as Fallout 3 had four.
@stevo32792: Thanks!
crap, really wish I'd seen that 15% off comment before I sprang for two
GREAT DEAL! I have never seen this go under $20 on PC, consoles you can pick up copies used for $15 which makes this super low price seem feasible. Purchased with the 15% off and activated on Steam. Thanks!
Makes me feel bad about buying the 360 version at launch.
Actually, the fact that it was buggy as hell in the beginning and $20 cheaper within two weeks did as well.
Love the fact that this worked in Steam.
Bought it before i headed to work this morning. The discount code mentioned above does indeed knock a bit off the price, with tax my final bill came to $11.27. A terrific price for a game with so much replayability and game time. I probably just payed 10c an hour for the time i'll put into it.
In regards to steam: After you proceed through checkout, keep going through the motions to download the game until you see the product key. Leave the window open. Then open steam and go to your library. At the bottom left there is an "add a game" button. Select the option to activate a game on steam. copy and paste the code from the website into the steam window and bikkedy bam, your game is downloading and can be redownloaded at your whim.
Hope that helps.
Great game. Buy it.
$11.27 - great deal. I really enjoyed Fallout 3, but didn't play any of the DLC yet. I might have to finish my Fallout 3 experience before I load this up. Excited to have something to really get into while waiting for Mass Effect 3.
@armand1880: I would highly recommend getting Brotherhood of Steel, it is the only essential DLC. The others were okay but BoS was amazing. Tesla Cannon FTW
Excellent deal, and thanks for the promo code. In for one!
Is the deal dead? I see $49.
I am wondering if the deal is still on too? I see $49.
Yup... It's expired. It was only a 1-day deal.
