@mtrlgrl: Not a different set, but if you read the reviews and have some common sense, you should know not give a nice, expensive, molded and painted chess set to children. I have 2 children (in the age bracket of the complainers from amazon reviews) and I bought them a $5, plastic set from wal-mart to learn on...and wouldn't you know, it is still in great shape and they are still enjoying it today. Simple rule, don't buy your kids anything you don't want them to break.
