Proctor-Silex 26500Y Durable Belgian Waffle Baker for $26 + free shipping
Does it say something that a company needs to advertise that their waffle maker is durable? Anyways, 4.5/5 stars out 272 reviews at Amazon. I've been looking for something to help me use up that gallon of Vermont Maple Syrup from that deal a couple months ago....
Probably not the fanciest of all waffle makers, but seems to do its job for quite cheap.
Looking through the customer images there are also apparently some pretty fancy things to do with waffles.
Not sure I want to try to eat durable waffles.
A note about making Belgian waffles with a non-flipping one, you need to use a yeast batter or a self-rising flour to get the height and airiness. The flipping ones allow you to use regular pancake style batter. Either way, you whip the egg whites to increase the airiness of the batter.
