the tickets are handed out in the line that forms before the store opens, probably sometime around 10 or so and its first in line gets there pick of what they want, up to 1 of every item that is a ticket item

Be prepared to camp out a couple days and do battle for this TV at this price. It's a thicker LCD, but it's still a heck of a deal. This is not for the faint of heart.

I've done Best Buy on BF twice in the last 5 years. First time, I showed up at 3am, and was lined up on the backside of the store. Second time, I came at 8am thanksgiving day, and was still about 50 people back on the edge of the store. I missed my ticket by one group. Guy in front of me took the last one. I was furious, not at him, but the way Best Buy handled the line. People kept streaming in to the front of the line around 2 or 3 am who were part of a group that camped out like occupy for 3 days. 1 tent, 40 people by the time they started ticket distribution. Thankfully, someone sold me the ticket I wanted for $20 and I got it anyway, but if you want any, and I mean any, of the ticketed items, if you aren't there on Wednesday, don't expect to get one. Especially with the midnight opening this year. I'm tempted, but it's hard to justify. This TV and the 3TB external for $99 are really tempting. And LOTR extended blu-ray for $49... I don't know...

It's an LCD though. Is it even an aquos quattron set? I know Hhgreg has a 60' 120 hz aqous quatron set on sale for $799. That is a fantastic deal. Makes me want to run out and buy a second set even though I just barely bought my other sharp less then four months ago. HHgreg only has 5 per store.

Who seriously lines up for these things? Don't these people have jobs? Obligations? If I want a TV, I just save up for it. If I can't afford it, I don't buy it! TV's aren't expensive anymore. Just check out the deals websites. You won't get frostbite.

I'll admit, I'm tempted to try for one of these. I've been looking for a TV and don't want to go lower than 42", the ones I've been looking at are all 500+, which is beyond my budget. This would be perfect, except...Best Buy...and on Black Friday.
