I prefer metal rakes living in Central New York.

Up here in the northeast, we have www.oceanstatejoblot.com which has 30" poly rakes for $4.90. And www.bargain-outlets.com. Also has the same rake in stores for $5.99. Oh but wait... This one is a CRAFTSMAN rake! Can't beat that then. -_-

EDIT: Neither of the above sites will ship stuff. In store only.

I can't vouch for this rake, but I once bought a cheap poly rake, and the handle was about 1/2 the thickness of a standard garden tool, and the head likes to fall off of the handle (there's no screw, nail, etc. holding it on). My older metal rake also works much better even when the poly rake is working its best.

This is pretty much the regular price and its free shipping to a local store....

Do they make single leaf rakes?

@tsfisch: one of the sears reviews said the head kept falling off too. they took it back and sears replaced each time, cuz of the lifetime warranty. the other reviews didn't have issues though

"I have purchased this rake a couple years ago & have had to replace it on 2 different occasions now. The plastic head would not stay tightened on the earlier model & now on this newer model, the plastic head started breaking apart. Sears lifetime warranty is good - just bring it in & they will replace it."

@jaferson: sears also has several metal rakes for about the same price, just click around a bit. although this non-metal one is 30" and wider than the other metal ones sold by them

I highly advise not to order from sears.com....it takes them forever to ship an item out. Fall will be over with before it arrives. Also, check out http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Sears before ordering...
