Another quality food deal. And my JJ's is participating, yeah.

vote-for4vote-against

Am I missing it or is there no indication as to which locations are participating in this deal @ the URL linked?

vote-for2vote-against

@pinchecat: i don't think there is a list. you just have to check with your particular location.

Extremely Limited Locations

JJ's does this every month but in different parts of the country, there is a very high chance your local JJ's isn't participating. My locals ones did this last month.

Apparently, it is a mistake to search for a Jimmy John's unless you know that there is one within fifteen miles of your zip code:

"There were errors in your Search request. There are no Jimmy Johns Locations within 15 miles of the area you specified!"

Being as a lot of US universities have just started their fall semester, I would expect the closer your local Jimmy John's is to a college campus, the less likely they are to do this on this round.

But that is just my speculation. I could be wrong. I don't own a Jimmy John's.

Aww, I won't be near any of these until the Morton Pumpkin Festival.
Shcucks!

My first deal went popular!! YES!!!!!

pretty awesome actually... if my local jj's is participating then i'm in, but 1-6 are not my favorites. as ironic as it is, i always felt weird ordering, but i love the 9/11 combo meal at jj's.

its incredible.

Being a Peoria resident I think it's funny to see my small city on Woot. So if you are going in the Peoria area remember that the Main St. location is right next to Bradley so it will likely be swarmed with hungry college Students. The one downtown will be swarming with hungry businessmen. However, there is a lot of road construction on N. University so I bet that one will be "slower" than the rest if you don't want to wait in line an hour to save $4.

@phizzo: I will be one of those hungry college students!! They could've done a better job advertising this... havent seen anything around campus

vote-for2vote-against

@tazzman220: You really think they want college students going there and eat up their profits for the day. I have a feeling that te students would get a sandwich, eat and get back in line.

vote-for2vote-against

@steve8479: I do. The university is figuratively across the street. The small loss they will take once is worth the repeat business of students. The one on Adams is like a block away from Caterpillar global headquarters in addition to a ton of other businesses and I bet they are just as busy.

Anyway they are just sandwhiches, I bet there is a great profit margin at regular prices.

Looks like Nebraska and Indiana as well. Check the freaky fast website.

This could be the best marketing EVER. Just by reducing profit by $4/sandwich for 4 hours during one day at 6 towns in IL, I (in FL) now want JJ's for lunch. And it's only 8:17am.

Oh, and woot to the first time poster going popular. Happened to me, too :)

This promotion is a joke. It's supposed to be "customer appreciation", which would usually mean their loyal customers. Most of their normal loyal customers don't have the time to wait through the stampede of job-less deal-seekers who flock to the JJ's restaurants, because they HAVE JOBS TO RETURN TO.

this happened in decatur a month or 2 ago, said it was customer appreciation day, must roll out thru the country at different times

I just got my sandwich here in Lincoln NE. Took about 15 minutes. They were very efficient with the line and sandwiches.

vote-for1vote-against

My local JJ did this back in July. I was very impressed with how quickly and smoothly they ran the line. The line was out the door and wrapped around the building when I got there and I still spent less than 15 minutes in line!

If you missed this one, I'd check with your local JJ and see if they are planning one of these coming up.

Not to be a downer, but I BEG whoever puts things like this online to put in the subject or description that only certain Jimmy John's participate in these kinds of things. Most people only read the headline and think that the JJ's near them is participating, which isn't the case. As a JJ's employee, I cannot tell you how awful it was to hear people curse at me and ask why they couldn't get a sub for a dollar. One customer spat on the counter and said they weren't coming back after I tried explaining to him that our location was not participating in the promotion, as we had already done it a few months back. Although people should not overreact to things such as sandwiches, no matter how good they are (and they're GREAT), it still saves employees around the country the pain of having to go through such turmoil with some lame customers.

Also, to whoever thinks this promotion isn't worth their time, trust me, it is! When we did our CAD, the maximum wait time was five minutes.
