Got mine. Too much evil done to animals, why is slowing down so hard? Animals don't know they are crossing into danger, they just want to get to the other side. Its up to us, the ones with HIGHER intelligence to help them live.
But please don't cause an eight-car pileup in the process :) Or swerve frantically, that happens sometimes.
Yea - this is a good sentiment... the problem is people react badly and end up causing even worse problems by swerving trying to avoid animals (possibly killing people in the process). In some cases you just need to cut your losses. A good rule is that if you can slow down to avoid, great. But don't swerve, the animal may still be killed and you may hurt other people in the process.
No never cause an accident but most road deaths I see are on regular streets. Where people who should be going 30MPH could easier slow a bit and let the animal cross (they slow for that cute girl/guy).
@dgiambo1: In all my years of driving I've often swerved to avoid an animal and NEVER caused an accident. Not even close. Bottom line is if another car is coming, or pedestrians are around, I won't swerve but will brake hard. You just have to react according to the situation at hand.
In my lifetime, I've killed two pigeons and a squirrel with my car. And I drive like a maniac. This bumper sticker is as useless as the Free Tibet ones. ESPECIALLY, since they'd only see them if they were behind you, going the same speed as you.
Exactly what wildlife is it that people want to kill? I need a "Run Over Pigeons" bumper sticker. "Rats Too."
I'll remember that when I see you (or anyone who thinks like you) crossing the street, whoops forgot to just slow down for 3 or 4 seconds in my life to save another.
Need a second bumper sticker to put next to it that says, "except for squirrels"

It is true that one of the most inhumane ways to put down a deer is by automobile.
As a frequent (albeit unintentional) vehicular animalslaughterer, I must pass on this one.
With few exceptions you cannot make a conscious decision in the split second this takes place. On other incarnation of this sticker it says "brake" not "break".
