No HDMI and the always common 160 gig drive, but it does have the N450 processor that the bonus along with the 6 cell battery.

Any netbook that costs >$300 is not worth it...

9.75 hours of battery life? Is that with just the OS running and nothing else?

I've said it before, I will say it again.
Avoid HP laptop. The entire pavilion series is junk. No experience with this model... I just would not buy any of their computers till they get their stuff together.

Gotta disagree with the previous anti-Pavillion comment. Had mine for 3 years and still runs perfectly...love the style and feel. Recommended them to fam & friends and they love them too.

I've owned a hp dv9000 notebook for 4 years. Had to send it in once under warranty so they could replace the motherboard. Took 2 weeks from the time I sent it out to the time I got it back. Have yet to have another problem besides needing a new battery (common problem with any laptop after 4 years of daily use). Next laptop will most certainty be a HP.

Well I am glad you have had good experiences, my immediate family owns/owned 5. 3 of them have the keyboards falling apart, 3 of them have had the hinges break (for what i am told is "no reason at all" I don't know I was never handling the laptop when it happened). and one of the others had a hard drive fail. So far only one has gone without problems... ((sigh))

I have an HP Mini 210 that I bought from Costco for $350. I'm glad I bought it there since I'm planning on taking it back.

It just doesn't perform as well as I thought it should in terms of movie playback. I might consider the HP Mini 210HD, which has a better display (1366x768, instead of 1024x600) and has the Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator for better playback.

Or I might just wait and see what an NVidia ION 2 netbook with the N450 processor might look like.

@biowulfe: yea in general, Netbooks have pretty crappy performance. You can find the Dual Core Atom 330s that also use ION, or like you said, wait for the ION2s with N450

If you are lucky enough to get an HP that lasts, they are great, but I got mine replaced through a CompUSA warranty within a year, then that replacement went in three or four times form motherboard issues. They use something called a tattoo so your restore disc work right. They didn't tattoo mine right, so I didn't get all the software I was supposed to.

I sent it back two or three times for the tattoo and they just didn't get it. The last straw was the last time they sent it to me, they put a totally different motherboard in with a different video card and it died right away.

In the end, the bought the laptop back from me for the original purchase price, but even then, I think it was because I posted to the BBB.

If you want all the gory details, you can read it here http://sflesch.blogspot.com/2008/04/why-hp-customer-service-sucks-part-1.html
All said and done, I might still buy one, but I would consider extra warranties.
