At first glance, the picture looks like Thomas the Tank Engine having a Halloween Adventure. :)

Apparently coupon code 1GFT82012 stacks with these deals. HOWEVER, it's single use tied to your account, so be sure you want to use it on something this cheap as opposed to some full priced game where you'll get more money off.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are so freaking good. Just play (& complete) asylum first as Arkham City adds so much more, both in terms of gameplay and story.

@rsmoker: "despite the fact that it requires Games for Windows Live"

Is that a pay to play game, like world of warcraft?

@danieleg: No, it's a free service provided by Microsoft that would be fine if it worked well and was easy to use, but in my experience it is neither.

@rsmoker: Can't you just plug the game's "CD Key" into your Steam account, and use that? Then you don't have to mess with the Microsoft program

@rsmoker: If we don't use the coupon code here, how long will it last? Sorry, I'm a steam newb.

@ashtonsanders: you can try but most often the key will not work on steam.

@warpstone: the coupon has been active for 2-3 months now.

@rsmoker: I've had no problems with Games for Windows Live, but I've only played the two Arkham games.

I followed an online tip and installed GFWL first, before I installed Arkham Asylum. From the reviews it appeared that most of the problems were installing it during the game installation.

You need GFWL because that's where your progress is stored, and it's where the extra achievements are recorded.

I am not much of a game player (just the two Arkhams and the two Portals).

I finished it the first time without getting very good at combat.

@ashtonsanders: No, if you get it through Steam you'll need both the Steam client and Games for Windows Live.
