Will the Black Friday price match really work? That's an awesome idea, if so.

@wnyx585am: I do it every year, But it ONLY works on items that are on sale for the weekend and not the doorbusters.

@drigout: I was about to e-mail this to my dad (not a secondipity traitor, we just don't sell washers and dryers which my rents are in need of :), then checked the FAQ on Best Buy:

"The Guarantee does not apply to: "...items that are advertised as limited-quantity, out of stock, open-box, clearance, refurbished/used items, BestBuy.com Midnight Sale and special hour sale events, BestBuy.com Outlet Center and Marketplace items, and items for sale Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving."

@trissecondipity: As long as it's not a doorbuster you should be ok.
And if so just buy it do not open it untill you get the money diffrence and if they do not want to give it to you then return it and have nothing to loose.

The deal for the 8GB iPod touch 4 is interesting. The $194.99 price is nothing special, but you do get a $50 Best Buy gift card. I've seen iPod deals with gift cards thrown in before, but never a $50 one.

Well, looks like I'm buying UC3 at BestBuy then returning the copy I bought from Target's b2g1 sale back to them...

@fmz65: You will be fighting and clawing for Uncharted 3 at that price. Also, wouldn't Target require you to return the other two games? Maybe they'll let you swap it for something else?

Humph. All I want is a Motorola Xoom 32GB WiFi and not a single place has one for less than they're selling for now. Bah humbug.

I wonder where the ad was obtained from? I know some retailers - and I think BestBuy is one of them - do have some region-specific ads. Black Friday, of course, may be a different matter.

Looks like some really good deals. The past couple years it seems like the deals were kind of just meh.

vote-for1vote-against

@wnyx585am: Nope, Target does that deal by treating each game as $40, I returned two of them today (basically filler for UC3 and a small hope that they'd let me exchange them straight up for MW3 and Skyrim).

I also live in a smaller town, so I hope that if I get there around midnight not too many people will care/know.

Kinda looking at the Toshiba Thrive.....@ $279 I suspect it is the 8gb version, but I can't tell for sure. As I understand it, Walmart is offering a refund of the printed difference by way of walmart card on almost anything you buy until December 25th I think. It excludes some items like groceries and pharmaceuticals but does include electronics. So buy it at Wal-Mart, save the ad, and return to customer service with your receipt and get a wal mart card for the difference.

so can i buy an xbox 250 gb bundle tomorrow for 299, then come on black friday and get a price match?

vote-for1vote-against

@walking0rgasm: You should, I just recomend not opening anything, so incase they decide to not give you the money then you can just return it on the spot.

Price match DOES NOT apply on door buster deals. It never does.
