@kristamaz: Their dish is actually pretty good, and the quality has turned around, at least at the locations I've visited.

I like Dominos... Does that make me a bad person?

vote-for11vote-against

Dominos pizza USED to be very bad. But, since 2010, their hand-tossed is delicious. "In 2010, shortly after the company's 50th anniversary, Domino's changed its pizza recipe 'from the crust up', making significant changes in the dough, sauce and cheese used in their pizzas." (from Wikipedia)

I'll never understand why there are pizza snobs in every pizza related deal to poo poo all over it. Okay, you don't like chain pizza, that's great. It doesn't change the fact that 50% off menu price is a great deal and most of us do like it!

vote-for10vote-against

Dominos has it on their own site in the coupon area. Very nice!

vote-for10vote-against

Thanks, Great find. Used code to buy 10 large pizzas for the office. Final price with tax $71.94 Total "savings" $58.50

vote-for9vote-against

I had their pan pizza yesterday, it was great.

Never ever pay menu price at Dominos, they always have a coupon for something you'll want. 50% off menu price is good, but you can usually get a similar deal on some item there every day if you check. So much cheaper than the pizza in NY, it's like 15 bucks for a large pie here at this point, without toppings. Sure, it's better than Dominos, but I don't go to Dominos for artisan dishes. I go for the grease...and Dominos is so much better now than in the past.

vote-for8vote-against

I must admit, Domino's is MUCH improved. I'm from Chicago (where we take our pizza seriously) and I like their new recipe, especially the pan pizza. When I don't feel like spending $25+ for my favorite local pizza, I go with Domino's.

vote-for7vote-against

I like their thin crust cheese pizza. Thanks for the post!

vote-for7vote-against

@geekv2: If this was 5 years ago, then yes. I get their gluten free crust pizza, and I will say that it is the best gluten-free pizza I have ever had, from anywhere.

Note, like their own huge-a$$ warning says, they can't guarantee that there's no cross contamination, but for me whatever cross-contamination there is isn't a problem for me, but YMMV

I worked at domino's until last week. The new crust is called handmade pan or butter pan. It is called butter pan because before it is cooked you can see little bits of butter in the crust. This dough is gravity stretched, which mean that you hold it at the top then slowing spin it in a circle to stretch it. Then it is put into a pan and you stretch it the rest of the way to the edges. The old deep dish was a premade crust and this new stuff is much better. It kinda sucks that we only have medium, but they couldn't get the large to cook right without increasing the temp or cooking time to much. The ovens cook time and temp were increased a little so regular pizzas come out a bit well done, so if you think your pizzas have been a bit burnt just ask for them to be a little under done.

I get Dominoes because they still have banana peppers. Not of the other takeout places in my reasonable driving area offer Tuscan peperoncini peppers, banana peppers or Hungarian peppers for their pizza. But I recently tried the new handmade pizza (I don't know if it's included in this coupon) and it was really amazing. The crust was very flavorful.

I always order the Chicken & Spinach with the Garlic & Parmesan Sauce ("White Sauce") instead of Red Sauce. The people that I've introduced this combination to have taken to calling it "Crack Pizza". We can't get enough. When we don't have it, we're thinking about it. :-)

vote-for5vote-against

@editorkid: I feel like you shouldn't talk until you tried there new and improved menu

vote-for5vote-against

Aauurrgghhh!!! I'm trying to lose weight for the holidays and you post this?

vote-for5vote-against

@infernox: I agree with you about pizza snobs. I will admit that any well made artisan pizza will almost always outclass anything by the major chains, but it doesn't mean that the chain pizza's are bad. I think this is a concept that pizza snobs seem to overlook with their noses held high to prove how "sophisticated" they are (which of course proves only how annoyingly pretentious they are).

I like Domino's Pizza's thin crust pizza. It is very good and local shops generally don't make anything quite like it. The thin is crunchy and doesn't overwhelm the flavors of the pizza toppings like thicker crusts sometimes can.

vote-for4vote-against

@hideouswhennaked: was the item full price? Also, nice name.

vote-for4vote-against

This works for the gluten free crust, which rarely has any coupons and costs like $3 extra.

vote-for3vote-against

Thanks!
I'll definately use this.

@boekjar: Thanks for the tip. We tried your chicken-and-spinach-with-white-sauce on a hand-tossed crust tonight. You're right. It's to die for!

vote-for2vote-against

This was dinner tonight. Like an easy button.

vote-for2vote-against

@prey: That or add a soda or get off the couch! XD Just pick it up after work tis what I'm doing. Figured this is a good chance to try their new "hand made" pan pizza. I expect to be disappointed but we will see!

Do agree the min order for delivery is just silly. They should just say convince fee of $2 or whatever for orders under $12. I'm aware ordering more pizza would be smarter but I know people who would pay the $2 -.- don't ask lol.

vote-for2vote-against

I love this special. I always order a couple of small pepperoni pizzas (hand crust) and they come out to $2.99 each. Their small pizzas are larger than a personal pan from Pizza Hut, and two people can eat off one easily. I agree with others, I use to really hate Domino's, but since they revamped their pizzas they have become one of my favorites.

vote-for2vote-against

Wow. Pizza snobs.
I live in an Upstate New York community that has LOTS of Italian Americans. I grew up around NYC. The upstaters think their pizza is great... and I've tried the local stuff... it's inconsistent. Depending on who makes the sauce on what day and etc... they make passable to horrible pizza. ...The local pizza is so bad, the local newspaper had a "blind" taste test of local sauces vs Ragu (as a joke, or so they thought)... and Ragu came out #2 in a line up of 8. And this is with the local Italians judging their own sauces.
If you ever visit, DON'T buy local pizza in Upstate NY. It's always disappointing and expensive ( because they have to truck their ingredients from all over NY... NYC gets the ingredients the freshest from their docks). At least with Domino's you know what you're getting... Really good stuff, especially with their "recipe turnaround" a few years back. And it's consistent because there's a nationwide process for making their pizzas.

Has anyone else had problems getting this to work? When I put the coupon code in at checkout it says "Sorry, invalid coupon/promotion code", also tried looking it up on their coupon page to no avail.

vote-for1vote-against

Domino's new pan pizzas are my fave chain pizzas, no question, and the prices are solid. Good deal.

vote-for1vote-against

@thejke: Thanks for the info. It's nice to know these things about the places you order from.

vote-for1vote-against

Used this last night in the Dominoe's Android app. Didn't even have to put it in, it was right at the top of the coupon list. Got a medium ham and pineapple plus 8 mild wings for $12.

vote-for1vote-against

The chocolate lava cakes are awesome!

vote-for1vote-against

@prey: Since my online order was $8, well under the $10.50 minimum you mentioned, maybe your minimum was because you specified delivery (mine was carryout). Or, perhaps each store sets its own minimum.

vote-for1vote-against

yay! food for tonight and i didn't have to call!

vote-for0vote-against

This coupon is not great if you want one pie... you select the pizza, toppings, then the site deducts the 50%, it then tells you your order is not enough (min $10.50) for an online order, so you must add more items, so effectively you must order close to twice what you wanted to get 50% off... yeah, math rules eh?

I haven't paid menu price in years - 50% off that number isn't a big savings, but you'll save $1-2 on a large pizza.

vote-for-26vote-against

Clearly the motto of deals.woot types: "I'll take cheap at all costs!"

vote-for-60vote-against

@kristamaz: Agreed. Their pizza's gross. And even if it was better, it's better to buy local.

vote-for-81vote-against

Why would anyone eat pizza from Domino's?
