Western Digital does indeed make a pretty good hard drive. I would fully recommend this if I were in the market for a new HDD or two.

I bought one of these yesterday.

For those wondering, this drive will still work great for H.264 high definition playback despite being 5400rpm.

The 5400rpm drive with 64mb cache can process far more data than the required amount for high definition video streams. A great media drive.

XP users, research this drive before you buy to see if it is right for you. It doesn't use 512b sectors as a native format so you may run into some problems.

WD is the only hard drive company I've yet to have any problems at all with. And it's not due to lack of purchases.
