Nice! Especially if you do not want to pay subscription fees to Tivo or your cable/sat provider for your DVR. Especially since it is writing to an SD card it makes your shows ultra portable!!
Fun product - I have a couple I use with OTA converters. This looks like a good price, too. Firmware update (better recording and more remote codes) can be found here:

I've had mine for awhile now and convert tons of content onto SD's of all sizes for my phone (Omnia), my wife's (Blackberry) and the laptops- movies, TV and music all go on & play wonderfully. Get the update- it makes all the difference, and it is rediculously easy and cheap.
FYI - Shipping for me came to $8...so $28 total. The same device can be bought with shipping included for $25 at Amazon if you want to save a couple of bucks. Plus removes the pressure of "today only" if you want to think about it or research it further.
got 2.
In for one.
I could not get this thing to work. Sandisk sent me new ones twice and they all did the same thing, which was freeze up when I try to record. This was after the firmware update. I couldn't get the unit to synch up with my satellite receiver either, it couldn't find the right remote code. The satellite receiver I am using is a Directv HD receiver (the latest that they offer). Sandisk had no solutions.
No HDMI = poop
Here's another link to get it through Amazon from Adorama Camera for $24.95 with free shipping:

and thanks, shrody, for the firmware update link...
and grimm1, for the amazon tip! :)
The little piece of paper in the box gives you a net address for the manual. If you type it in verbatim you will not get to the manual because the left the dash out of the second "V-Mate".

My step son plays Call of Duty on his XBox 360 and mentioned capture cards available for the game. Question - Would I be able to connect this to a TV and would it record his play?
@redwing: I have the same problem and the remote has been smashed, so some buttons don't work hardly ever.
