Think of it as a source for cheap (as in not so great, as well as inexpensive) LR44 batteries that happens to come with a laser pointer keychain... :)

have had a few of these, great for a cat toy. Sadly its cheaper to just buy a new one every few months than replace the batteries

just a warning, these things eat batteries even when they're off. At least the one I got does. The included batteries came dead and replacements (from another meritline item) drained overnight with less than an hour of use.

@baqui63: Ebay sells cheap button cell batteries. I once got 50 LR44 batteries for $5 shipped. No need to buy a product just to throw away just to get 2 or 3 batteries out of...
