$6 for one? I'm pretty sure the practical joke is on whoever falls for buying this.

vote-for4vote-against

Looks like it's a 5-pack from the small "Click to enlarge" pic on the site but still... I agree that $6 doesn't seem like much of a deal.

I've seen PDFs online of the same thing for free.

1. What car is American? Toyota has plants in the states and Ford has plants in Mexico. This isn't the 80s anymore.

2. Kia and Hyundai are good cars, this isn't the 90s anymore either.

@gearxs: Sorry, still a pretty horrible deal. A pack of 10, 20 or 25 might be enticing but a dollar a piece? I agree with the earlier poster- the prank is on the one who pays for it, not the one who receives the gag gift.

@jheppner: You wouldn't happen to have a place I could stay at for 8 weeks during the summer for my internship do you?

And why not just take a parking ticket meant for one car off of it and put it on another? Or print one out like someone suggested?

Or take a dump on the person's car while they're backing out? That would be amazing.

@sybrwookie: This is actually a pack of 5 tickets

vote-for2vote-against

One of the offenses is "Driving a Kia or Hyundai"... whats so wrong with a Hyundai? Stupid tickets

vote-for2vote-against

They have two separate violations for: 1) Not driving an American car; and 2)Driving a Hyundai or a Kia. I believe the latter would fall under the former and who would cite someone for driving a Honda. Dumb.

@adesio: ha ha yup!

@mstislavski: Thats what im saying! But why do Hyundai drivers have to be singled out? Pathetic....

@javyn: AMEN

@ocnomad: Yea they make solid cars

djenkins: In the hands of shareholders around the world. Don't mistake salaries (costs) with profits.

Friends dont let friends drive korean cars.

There's a reason they offer you a 100k mi warranty on it. Think about it.
You get what you pay for.

@briandrea: Please explain supporting research behind your statement proving Hyundai vehicles are of poor quality.

I drive a Nubira Daewoo. I'm the joke here :'(

Funny, but not a deal. I live downtown Washington DC. People park like complete Jackasses here. Making up spots... taking up 2 spots just to keep anyone from scratching their BMW... I would love to screw with those folks, but not at just over a buck per person. I would need hundreds of these.

Once something that looks like a ticket is on the windscreen in Portland the parking cops are programmed to add another ticket every few hours.

The local auto salvage charity put flyers that looked like tickets on cars in a residential neighborhood. The parking cops drove through the neighborhood and have daily added parking tickets to where the value of the tickets are greater than the value of the cars so many of these cars are being towed next week.

It turns out you have to park you car in another block every 3 days so you can't park in front of your house.

@gearxs - That should be made clearer, in the post as well as on your site.

I do see 10 year old Hyundais on the road for the first time. The subcompacts seem to be made to last.

@javyn: Where do profits from said car companies end up?

vote-for1vote-against

My favorite part of this post? The fact that everyone is getting upset about the Hyundai statement.... but only one person mentioned anything about Kia lol... My future in-laws drive Hyundais and I like them. My sister had a Kia Sportage 9 years ago... it was a piece of trash... the new ones are much better though...

I used to think these were funny, but then I moved to the city. Parking tickets are a real threat every second that you're not watching your car!

@briandrea: That is pretty dumb logic. How would a manufacturer stay in business offering a 100k mile warranty if the vehicles couldn't hold up for it? It's obviously because the vehicle will require minimal maintinence over this period, and so they can both sell the item at a lower price, and guarantee it for longer. The only alternative is that they are in business to lose money, which is plainly not the case.

Wish we still had companies that were willing to back up their products with that kind of confidence.

@killswitchdh

Hyundai owns Kia. Most Kias use Hyundai parts/platforms.

Either way, great cars. They're inexpensive because Hyundai is a HUUUUUUUGE company in Korea, and is able to do more of the manufacturing in-house (they make their own steel, for example)

Post the actual text of both sides in real size format for, uh, review.

Also keep in mind your in America, the land of lawsuits and security camera's. I can just see it now..... Such a sad nation that we think and treat each other that way.
