@acraigl: Well, if they're refurbs, apparently they will.

I was able to put Android on mine but this is not worth the hassle of buying this one and doing it your self.

@berto1884: I've been thinking about trying that. How well does it work (i.e. is it slow)? Do most Android apps work on the TP?

@rayray8822: I switch my hp to CM7 and it works fine CM9 which is an upgrade from CM7 still has alot of bugs. I have not see any difference in it's speed. Some application do not work properly but not really an issue since they are very few. Also there is a lot of info on installing Andriod to an HP. the first time i installed it, it took me about 20 min now I can do it in less than 5 min it's very easy.

I have CM9 on mine and it's awesome. I have not booted to WebOS in months. The latest Alpha2 (note alpha -- this thing will only get better; they are working on a new kernel presently) offers hardware video acceleration, which was a missing in the previous releases.

I can't recommend putting this on your touchpad enough. Yes, there are known issues (camera and mic support is missing, for one), but that's not enough to keep me from using it. The Android market and support more than outweigh that. Plus if I want to use it (Skype or whatever), I can just boot back into WebOS.

Thanks for the info. LOL I've never used the camera or mic on my TP, not even once, so they won't be missed!
