My dog gives me enough of these every night
I would buy one but have yet to use my 'beer-can-chicken' device....
Good price. However, this does not have raised rim of top to allow coals to be placed on top for even heating as the official Boy Scout dutch oven does. That also helps keep ashes out of food.
@the.dominator: I think those are technically called "camp stoves". Usually those have little feet on the bottom so it can sit in/among coals in the firepit. Lodge makes those too, but I usually only see them at a place like Gander Mountain. But I agree, the lip on top is key if you want to cook that way.
Amazon has these for $30, plus free shipping.
how is this a dutch oven when there is nowhere to put the coals on top?
This is not a camping dutch oven. You use this to roast meats or make casseroles in your oven. They rock. French cooking FTW.
