Make sure they are selling Region one discs. Blu ray from the UK won't work on US players!!

That's not possible. Everyone knows there was only one Matrix movie...

It's Region Free, but notice, also, that it's in PAL format, which will not play on our (in the US) NTSC equipment.

@corwyn74: There's no such thing as PAL or NTSC with high-def. Everything's encoded at 1080/24 for film and 60 for video. Almost all "PAL" TVs in Europe support 60Hz. Any Blu-ray player can handle a region-free disc.

It is not the NTSC or PAL, Blu ray is country coded into 3 regions. Google it or waste some money. The other High Def system, now gone, was not region coded.

@abramokids: You're confusing The Matrix with The Highlander.

@corwyn74:
@imbob:
Warner Blu-Rays so far have all been region free, most movie titles on blu-ray from major studies are encoded in 1080/24 like salsashark42 said which means no PAL or NTSC issue to worry about. To top all this off this isn't even really a new deal, for some reason Blu-Ray boxsets tend to be cheaper from the UK (even with shipping), theres a whole thread about it on the blu-ray.com forums. http://forum.blu-ray.com/movie-tv-deals/138331-they-have-cheaper-amazon-co-uk-than-amazon-com-thread.html

@mike808 I think abramokids is probably a fan of XKCD #556

I dunno...according to the page posted by the OP, it says:
"Format: Box set, PAL"

If there's no such thing as NTSC or PAL for Blu-Ray, then great.

The Matrix was great... too bad they never made any sequels.

I just had the misfortune of noticing that you guys are correct about box sets being way cheaper in the UK. I just bought the three Mummy blu rays, planet earth, and band of brothers from the US amazon store and would have saved 20 dollars from UK...but luckily I did get the Matrix set and The Bourne Trilogy tonight for around 55 bucks when if I had bought it from the US store, it would be 130. I'm definitely going to the UK store for trilogies from now on. My next purchase may be the Mission Impossible movies.

Check http://regionfreemovies.com/ for compatibility. Not all Blu ray disc releases are region locked

I can find it cheaper on ebay usually for these kind of things.
