@tom760: The majority of the complaints are because people don't read the fine print and do a little research. A good site though to shed additional light on what is already posted on the restaurant.com site. Others complain that the gift certificates are no good if the restaurant goes out of business. Anyone who may have had a Bennigan's gift card about a year ago knows that this is just the way things go sometimes. Do not take the survey they email to you though as I have heard this enrolls you in some sort of program.

I have personally used a number of these and they all went without a hitch. If you go to a restaurant on the list regularly with the family and spend over the required amount the gift certificate requires regardless, not doing this deal makes no sense. Unless you want to be cheap and not tip because that's required per the terms.
