@snosbig: 5Vagas Classics are one of my favorites but they aren't short. I have the 4" Gurkhas on the way and I guess I'll get some of the Diesel Shortys to try too. Thanks.

I second both the Padron line and the Diesel line. Padron is nice and smooth, even the maduros, and the Diesel is a little more of a 'slap in your face' spice (my fav cig right now is the Diesel Unholy Cocktail).

If you like sweet, try Drew Estates Acid line, especially the Blondie. Most of them aren't short, but they burn faster than normal cigars.

@jeparz: the diesel shorty, it has a regular place in my cooler. look for the Diesel Shorty Charity Pack on cigar.com, its10 Diesel Shorty's (4.5x60) for $30 or you can watch the sprint sale for a day or two and get a 10 pack for about $25

Ah, see, here I clicked on this expecting to get a handful of sinks for my kitchen to try out.

Color me disappointed.

@jeparz:
I would recommend the Padron line. I kept some of the shorter sizes for my go to for short smokes for years.
They're reasonably priced without tasting like they are.

@jeparz..try 5Vegas classics, cigar int'l has some good deals on them now

I bought this from one of the sister sites when it was dubbed the "all in smash pack" and for the price was very happy with what i recieved

@breaddrink: I feel the same way...you need at least two of a stick to really know if it's a good one. I usually try to space them out a while too.

I've received hundreds of cigars from CI and only once not been completely satisfied. Part of one of my orders was a 5-pack of Cohibas. They were very dry but not so much that they couldn't be salvaged...I was able, eventually, to rehydrate them.

@jeparz: I would recommend the Diesel Shorty. I am on the fence about the Diesel line and have tried the Limited and the Unholy Cocktail. I would say the Shorty is the best of the whole lot...and I think you can get a box for around $3.50/stick.

I like Gurkha's in general and just ordered a 10 pack of their Black Dragon Fury from Cigar.com. They are 4" x 60. Can anyone suggest another short stick to try (not Nubs - tried a sampler and wasn't impressed). I just want something I can enjoy while outside. The Gurkha is fine but I'd like more 4" variety.

I've bought from them too. They were okay for my shipments.

Samplers...Nothing against samplers, but when it's only one stick of each variety, I don't feel confident that it's something I can be certain is really great or a lemon, even when they are, either of those things.

If I smoke two and both are great, then I feel I've found a new line to buy some more of, and when I smoke 2 and they're crap, I feel they may not be for me...

But 1 doesn't do that.
At least not for me.

@mypooka: x2 on that, bought a hundred or so cigars from these guys (Ccom, Ci, etc) and the only damaged cigars that i received (still smoke-able but had a bit of damage to the caps of a 5er of 5V Classics) were replaced Very quickly, and they told me to keep the others and try to salvage them...which i have. Great guys to buy from!

@granilithe: I've never received any cigars from them (other than the aforementioned elephant stomped box last week which was replaced) that did not arrive in great condition. Like all cigars some time in a properly maintained humidor/coolidor is beneficial, but none have been dried out/flaky and in need of re-humidification/rejuvination upon arrival.

seems like a good deal, but im stalking Cigar.com's sales for a box of 5v AAA... or maybe a bundle of Bahia Maduro....then again im running low on Est. 1844.... choices, choices, choices... By the way, im smoking a Man O' War Special Edition right now, if you haven't, then get some!

@mypooka: Ah if they are backed by CI then I have no problem.

I was more worried about the receiving dried out flaky cigars and not being able to return them, not so much the I don't like the cigar problem. The cigar club I frequent has plenty of people I can pass cigars I don't like onto.

I've dealt with Cigarbid. In fact, I deal with them quite a lot. They're the same company as Cigars International and Cigar.com. Every cigar I have ever ordered from them has arrived well packed and in excellent condition. Customer service has been helpful on the only occasion where I had an issue -- just this last week in fact -- where UPS crushed a box (looked like an elephant stomped on it) and damaged one of the two bundles of cigars inside. I notified customer service and with no questions asked they shipped a replacement not just for the damaged bundle but for both.

If you want to be able to return cigars just because you don't like them rather than because they are damaged, you could check out either of their other sites I mentioned above. There the returns policy is slightly different than on CigarBid, allowing (for example) you to smoke one cigar out of a bundle and return the rest for full credit or refund. (Pro-rated credit/refund after one.)

I'm not sure I like the wording of their returns policy. Has anyone dealt with this company before? Did the cigars arrive in good condition?

If not were you actually able to return them or did they pull the they were fine when we shipped it?

This looks so familiar, like I've seen it somewhere recently, like...yesterday...right here. 2 for one special for buying sponsored ads, or did someone forget to load in the new ads?
