@bstebick: I am tempted to find out. I wish I still worked in the office. I might just hide it in my brothers pick-up

@capguncowboy: Yes, yes, we want a full report. Bonus points for video.

I really wanted to put one in my cousin's birthday gift. It'd be funny until it became his. He can lack the minimal virtue required for this device.

Holy cow! I wish I could give this more than just one up vote!

This is awesome, I have the misfortune of working with my best friend. He has been screwing with me lately and I have been vowing to get him back. Between this, the phantom key stroker, the eviltron and liquid ass...It's ON!

@capguncowboy: I'm sure you've heard this before:
"With friends like you, who..." ;-)

Here's a story. My g/f kept complaining to me that she was hearing this strange noise in her office (standard cube farm). She asked a bunch of different people to come to her cube and listen to try to hear the noise... no one could, except her. After a while, I just started to assume that she was crazy or had some kind of as-yet-undiagnosed hearing problem.

So this went on for WEEKS before she overheard two guys in the office talking about trying to p0wn one of the supervisors by putting an Evil/Annoy-a-tron in his desk. My g/f immediately went over there and found this thing in his filing cabinet. Turns out it had been making the sound. This guy's desk was clear on the other side of the room from where she sits; but she was the only one hearing this thing for weeks.

Moral of the story: Use with caution. You might unintentionally drive your innocent co-worker with dog-like hearing to the point of insanity.

I've got plenty of stories on these things. Good hiding places are in ceiling tiles, electrical outlets, and inside phones.

The possibilities for driving people crazy are endless.
