I purchased a similar model the Genie QuietLift 800 2042-TK back in 2011. It has been working great and installation was easy. My only complaint is that the wireless range on the remote controls is AWEFUL. You basically need to be sitting with your cars bumper at the door for the unit to register your remote. Otherwise everything else is great...
Ohhh and I paid almost twice the price for the 800 but it is a belt drive model and not a chain drive like this one. IMO this is a great deal

I bought this same model last month, and I don't have the remote range problems the previous commenter has, I can usually get it to begin opening from the end of my driveway. This opener does seem a little cheap but not too bad, however, from reading all the reviews before I bought this I don't expect it to actually work for longer than a year anyway. So from the research I did I wouldn't buy Genie if you plan on it lasting a while, but if you need a quick fix, this is likely your cheapest option.

Can this lift a panel door? Max weight is 500 pounds. My door is so small I have about 2 inches clearance on each side of the car but it is wood and has 4 windows. I had 1/2hp chain drive on the door that looked to be 20 years old and it just broke. The door swings open very easy.

I paid $109.00 for this same opener from WOOT A month ago. Why so much WOOT?
