Have people had good experiences purchasing from meritline.com?

I purchased some of those wallet multi-tools for under a buck each. Came in pretty quick from what I remember, no issues with my order.

Many good experiences. Awesome customer services. Only downside is that the free shipping takes 1-3 weeks to get the item to you.

So the only reason I would not recommend meritline is if you plan on using these orange peel removers this weekend (or for a few weekends actually).

@shpiders: I've bought often. Shipments from overseas are reasonably prompt. Quality is usually decent, about what you'd expect from the price. User comments are generally accurate and helpful.

I did have one gripe about some bottle stoppers. I sent a reasonably polite email to their customer service department at about 4:20pm, Pacific time. Had a reply in half an hour, asking me to dispose of the merchandise and promising me a refund within 48 hours.

Five minutes later, an email from PayPal confirmed the refund.

Any more questions?

I'll third the comments. No problems. Sometimes the stuff comes through Shanghai or such and might take 3 weeks. other times it's a US based warehouse. Description says from where so that's the only "watch".

@rpstrong: Thanks. I think I'm convinced.

@shpiders: Excellent experiences. Be prepared to wait a while for shipping if you live in the USA, I live in NE Ohio, took about 7 business days (about 9-11 days) to receive order. No problems, ordered computer supplies for a local repair shop at least once weekly.

I order stuff from Meritline all the time. Never had any problems. Like others have said, the shipping is slow but it's free. The product quality is good for the price.

@oxidiser: Ditto. Love Meritline, it's a great place for stocking stuffers or little add-on gifts.

I bought headphones from them for $4, the seemed cheap and electrocuted me in my ear when plugged in. Meritline only gave me $1 back

I have one of these, and it works well. Unfortunately I've found it takes a lot more effort to peel an orange with this tool than just digging in with my fingers.

@shpiders: I order from them often, and haven't had any issues. Quality is what you pay for, but decent. I had one item (out of probably 50) arrive damaged, and they refunded me without returning it and without hassle. For items that ship from US, I usually get them within a week. From China it's more like 3 weeks.

A lot of their electronic stuff actually comes from CA and arrives much quicker. This product almost certainly comes from Asia and probably won't come before 3 weeks.

I really can't believe they can make money shipping things halfway around the world for under $1. Even if this thing only costs $.01 to produce, the shipping cost seems like it would be at least $1 (it has to clear customs).

I personally just bite into an orange to start peeling it!

@chrisholland03: I'm with you, I'd rather just peel an orange by hand. But my wife had one of these she used a lot, then she lost it. She's been looking for one for a while. Gotta keep the wife happy.

I really like Meritline. They have a lot of decently quality stuff for wicked cheap. And it's the kind of stuff that you've always wanted but could never justify spending money on. Like a banana shaped alarm clock that projects pink stars on the ceiling while singing you happy birthday, all for only $1.99! (That product doesn't actually exist btw...though I wish it did.)

I have noticed that a lot of their accessories, like watches, are knock-offs if you're cool with that. I bought an ODM brand watch that goes for $150 on the ODM website and it was only $3 on Meritline. When I got it the model name "Pixel" etched into the back had a typo and said "Plxl" lol.

I had a frustrating experience with them last year. I purchased a few items in late November for stocking stuffers and goofy gifts. By mid-January I still hadn't received anything and so I emailed them asking for an update. They said to wait a week and then they will send it again if I still didn't receive it. A week and a half later still nothing so I asked again for the items and they told me to wait another week to see if I received it.
That didn't make me happy as I had already waited, so I sent an angry email and they sent a new shipment and I received it in a week.

I had previously purchased from them a few times with no problems though.

@shpiders: I'll say it, because no one else here has the guts:
Meritline's addictive.
You can literally get their updates daily and spend $0.49-$0.99 EVERY DAY!!! Makes it pretty interesting though, spend less than a buck a day and in a week you won't recall what you've bought so every trip from the postman is a trip from Santa! Or something.
Some of their stuff is better than others, but nothing I've gotten was bad.

Hmmm, I'm thinkin' this might make nice orange/lemon/lime peel garnishes for dessert dishes. Might even work well for making dried candied citrus peel. Yeah, I know, I watch a lot of those cooking shows, Jamie Oliver is my current fave... "Full wack"!

@shpiders: for the cheap (Mod edit: profanity) that u dont mind breaking, loosing, letting your friend "borrow" and never return then yes

I order all the time from meritline.com. With 3 grown sons it can sometimes get hard to come up with a unique gift that doesn't cost a load but this is my go to site. If you 'like' them on Facebook you can catch specials almost everyday. This company is reliable and most items are shipped either free or at a very low price. I love them!!!

@havocsback: I know what you mean - I just came home from the post office with one of their familiar, padded air-mail envelopes. Inside was a 99 cent, 3-LED key-chain flash that I ordered on 8/2. They take just long enough to make it a surprise when it gets here.
