Son of a bitch, I am a big Vudu user already but I want this.

I just signed up and some of my movies differ from what is listed here. Unfortunately, BTiLC was not one of them. I got Away From Her, Ghost, A Knight's Tale, Paranormal Activity, The Producers, Psycho, Rudy, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Soul Survivors, and Valentine's Day.

@joelellis: that's weird; I wonder if they're randomly shuffling movies around or something?

@joelellis: It would have been sweet if they let you pick from like 20 or 30 titles.

I'm all digital these days so I'd rather save the $2.50 and buy the HDX digital copy vs. the Target Blu-Ray deal they have going today. Vudu is pretty awesome. I wish Google got on board and had a competing service for streaming and buying digital content. That would be sweet.

@headshot12: it isn't a unified platform yet, only for "android" tablets and and phones (vs. internet enabled tv's, roku, ps3, xbox). My GoogleTV still doesn't receive any Play Movies for rental or purchase.

@headshot12:
Haha! I dig Google Play, but I just wish that it was a little more versatile. As in, I wish they had an app on 360/PS3, Roku, sorta' like Amazon does. I will say that I love that they have a lot of current shows. :)

I'm not very familiar with Vudu. When you "buy" a movie, can you download it and watch offline, or is it only streaming? Are these free ones only streaming?

Just signed up and this was not available for free Son ova B!t@h MUST PAY

@kidkobun: I hear you there...
@shoppingrockstar: Google fooled me (again). Chrome lets me access the Play store and select a movie, but (you're right) I can only play on an Android device (or emulator maybe?).

@joelellis: I just signed up and got the same list of mostly crappy movies. So sad. :(

I also got Away From Her, Ghost, A Knight's Tale, Paranormal Activity, The Producers, Psycho, Rudy, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Soul Survivors, and Valentine's Day.

No Jack Burton for me either. I got the same moves that everyone else has mentioned here.

@adejarnett: Yes you can download and watch it unconnected (at least you can on Android devices)

@miggity: Sign up again and link with your Ultraviolet Account (if you don't have one make and Ultra Violet account first), then you'll get these movies too! (I just did, so now I have both sets in one account).

vote-for1vote-against

@baldbear: I just signed up for a new account and created the UltraViolet account at the same time under my hotmail email... just got the same movies everyone else mentions. So, I signed up again with my gmail account, this time not creating and linking the UltraViolet account... same movies. Created and linked the UltraViolet account.. no extra movies..

I am not sold on ultraviolet. How long a time do I have right to films there? It seems to vary by studio and where you purchased the rights, but 1-3 years seems common. No good for me, I want rights in perpetuity.

Google Play selection is only for Android, and lacks too many titles (not all 3 LOTR films?)

ITunes doesn't support Android.

Amazon only supports Kindle Fire for Android, not other Android phones or tablets.

Does no one want my digital movie biz?

vote-for1vote-against

@aunnix: I had signed up a few months back and got the other movies, I'm saying if you had done it before you can do it now. Sorry about not making this clear.
