Idunno from cowboom, but I'd put my TF101 transformer up against my wife's iPad3 any day of the week.

These tablets ROCK THE HIZZOUSE FO SHIZZLE.

Yeah, I don't know how much I'd trust getting a "used" tablet, but I bought one of these original Transformers for my dad this spring, and myself a Prime.... his older model is running ICS, too, and it's rock solid. No quirks like my Prime.

Never worry about Cowboom. Test the tablet...if there is a problem in the 1st 30-days, just click on the return button and a pre-paid label is sent immediately to ship it back. No need even to get permission. Remember that this is Best Buy.

I bought the 16gb version from Cowboom the last time the deal came along. I managed to get a grade 7 unit with all the accessories and I've been very happy with it. There is a tiny dent but I didn't even notice it until the 3rd day of use (but what did I expect? it's used!!!). I've been happy with every purchase I've made from Cowboom.

I managed to snag the keyboard dock for this from Newegg for $100 new and that has turned the tablet into a rock solid multipurpose device. Ice Cream Sandwich is solid and the device is far more functional than the iPad I had previously. Granted you have to be open and accepting of the Android ecosystem before you can make that statement about the iPad. If you're already invested in the Apple ecosystem and are considering something other than an iPad buy this device to "play" with it but be willing to flip it for a small loss on eBay if you can't get into it. It's a stellar device but for Apple fanboys it's not an iPad.

I've had mine since the day they were available, and have loved it. I also bought the dock, which made it much more functional. As a piece of technology, it's been great. Support from ASUS has been horrible though. I've had to send it in once, and the dock has been to them twice. They have been completely useless, uninformative, impolite, and unhelpful. So, if you never need support, it's great. If you do, you're probably out of luck. :(

Pre-owned
- Fully functional
- May show limited signs of use
- May be missing parts or accessories
- May have dents or scratches

I'll pass. Thanks.

If this were a review for any item I'd pass. Factory refurbished items I've bought off woot before and had no problems. Minor blemishes are a-ok in my book but to have this many caveats before even purchasing. No thanks!

OP, how did you find this? I can't search for and find any ASUS tabs on cowboom at the moment... YOU MUST BE SPECIAL!

I got a Galaxy Tab off of Cowboom, and I was really happy with the condition, cosmetically and functionally. But it is important to thoroughly check the tablet once you get it.

You also have to expect that you'll be buying a charger cable since more often than not a Cowboom package will include just the tablet, uncharged, with no accessories. So that will add to your total price.

You can choose the specific one you want once you decide to get one. They list if they have a charger or not as well as other factors.

My wife really likes this tablet. I got it for our anniversary and had no trouble porting all her apps over from her phone to this. This is a very good price for one of these tablets and based on her joy I would recommend it if you are looking to get one.

I've purchased my smart phone and a Zune from Cowboom. Both were used/refurbished, both matched the described condition, and both going strong.

Have a TF-101 and love it. Add the keyboard dock and you have a great device which can replace a laptop for basic needs (email, word processing, media consumption, etc...).

@rrussell: Well, I AM "special"!!! lol - I signed up for their daily email alert, and that is where I found it.

@rrussell: I have bought a lot of things from Cowboom, and have never been disappointed with anything I have purchased from them. Look through the items, and pick the one that has all or most of the accessories, and I think you will be happy with your purchase.

just about to buy one, then it sold out :/

@kiewee3: Life... Hang in there, they will probably have them back in stock in a few days. After all, they ARE Best Buy, and they get first crack at EVERYTHING the general public can't figure out and carries back to the retail store!

HEY!! I just checked, and they aren't sold out!! Try it again!

If you really want a 10 inch tablet, this might be worth springing for (Haven't actually looked into it, as I'm not interested in buying it), But for a bit less ($200), the new Asus Nexus 7 will be coming out soon, and it will be more powerful and running a newer operating system, as well as being supported longer, though if you're in the know, porting custom ROMs isn't the hardest thing to do.

Just more information for those interested.
