Adobe.com 80% off Adobe Software (Students / Teacher Edition) for $299.99 + free shipping
Adobe.com is offering 80% off Adobe Software (Students / Teacher Edition). I only put $299.99 for the Design Standard, but there are a ton of other options to buy on that page.
MUST HAVE A .EDU EMAIL ADDRESS
Use coupon code SAVE80EDU to get 80% off
...I'm not sure why someone would -1 this post, I just added Web Premium to my cart and added the coupon code and it went from $450 down to $89.90.
Dude, I don't know where the $299.99 came from, because CS5.5 Master collection reduces to $179.99
$299 is regular academic price. The person who posted this forgot to use the coupon code to get it for $59.80.
Worked great for me, just picked up Creative Suite Design Premium Student and Teacher, regularly $449, got it for $89.
@j5: As the description said, I only put the price of one of them just so I had a price in there.
@omnichad: The coupon code doesn't seem to work for certain products, i.e. I can get web premium for $90 yet just dreamweaver itself is still $150, so I think the price I had resulted from a glitch on the site, because it sounds silly that some products sold individually cost more than a whole suite in which they're included.
Coupon code is not working.
Adobe killed it.
Apparently invalid.
I don't know if existing purchases will be honored, but if they are, then I deserve a boot to the ass for delaying.
Put in my order for CS5, came to $39.80. Submitted my documents for verification, hoping to hear back soon. Might have been just a one-day deal, who knows. Hoping I get my purchase honored at that price.
Does anyone know what the difference is between the legit versions of the apps and the student/teacher versions? Just out of curiousity, since I see these deals come out every so often.
@myspaceisacult: There is no difference in the software. The student edition just need special validation to enable.
@j5: Adobe apparently canceled and replaced this deal with a different coupon for students

@wootofall: according to some folks at slickdeals, adobe is honoring orders placed prior to pulling the coupon. Congrats to those who got one.
Here is the statement I received in an online chat with Adobe.
(Spelling error and poor grammar is original.)
"We apologizse for any inconvenience caused, however, due to a technical error an incorrect messaging of promotion on education store got posted online and we are currently in the process of removing this messaging shortly, due to which the promo code will not be applicable on any of the Educational product purchase."
So - that's the official explanation. Basically, they goofed!
Well, they goofed, but I can verify that I finally got mine at the reduced price, 7 days after the fact. Apparently it took THAT long for them to verify my student ID. So yes, they did honour some of us.
I just got verified today, and am currently downloading the student/teacher version of CS5 for which I only paid $39.80
